Overnight Assignments a) Overnight assignments will be established by the Employer on a case by case basis. b) Except in circumstances of short notice requirements, assignments will be offered by seniority to qualified Employees who have indicated overnight availability within the geographic area. c) Those previously assigned assignments that conflict with the overnight assignment will be removed temporarily from the Employee’s schedule and reassigned to accommodate the overnight assignment. d) An Employee’s existing Client assignment(s) which conflict will be transferred to another Employee should the overnight assignment extend beyond seventy (70) days from the date of commencement of the Client assignment. e) Employees currently holding a Government Mandated position who do not indicate an interest in overnight assignments will not be assigned overnight assignments, unless by mutual agreement.
Overnight Assignments. When a member has been assigned by the administration as a part of their regular teaching duties to take part in an overnight trip as required by the Vocational Student Organization activities, that member shall receive $60.00 per night in addition to the member’s regular salary. The necessity for the overnight assignment shall be determined and preapproved by the secondary principal. This stipend shall not be used by members for professional leave.

Overnight Assignments. For programs that fund an on-call service to respond to client emergencies overnight (e.g. High-Risk Seniors) and are not funded in full overnight shifts. Coverage may be serviced using an on-call model. Any on-call hours shall be offered in order of seniority. An Employee assigned to be an on-call shall be paid two (2) hours in addition to hours worked should the Employee report to work as directed. The two (2) additional hours of on-call compensation shall be considered hours worked. Employees who accept an on-call assignment as determined by the Employer shall be required to work no more than ten (10) hours per day, or twelve (12) hours per day where agreed by the Employee at the beginning of the assignment. Note: During on-call hours where there is a concern of safety or special need, a minimum of two (2) personnel will continue be dispatched in the event of a Client call-out.
Overnight Assignments. 16.1 Whenever the duties of any employee shall require him/her to sleep away from home for one or more nights, said employee shall be granted, in addition to his/her regular salary, for all overtime worked on such assignment, including travel time, compensatory time off at the overtime rate provided for in Article 5 of this contract. 16.2 Said compensatory time shall be scheduled and taken by mutual agreement within thirty (30) days following the completion of the out of town duties or paid for in cash at the overtime rate. Consideration will be given to employees’ requests for compensatory time to be granted at a time convenient to the employee outside the thirty day period. Any employee who chooses not to accept such assignments shall notify the Employer on a quarterly basis by January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1. An employee shall not be penalized for his decision. 16.3 The Employer shall cause a record of all compensatory time to be kept. Copies of such records shall be given to the Guild on request.
Overnight Assignments. Work assignments which necessitate the employee to stay overnight shall be governed as follows: 1. Travel time will be paid at the prevailing hourly rate and the employee shall travel at the time designated by the Employer. The Employer shall pay all travel time and expenses from reporting point to job, job to job, and from job to reporting point. 2. Men shall be reimbursed all actual expenses incurred in proceeding to and from the job by land, sea or air and telephone expenses incurred in connection with the job. 3. When accommodation and meals are required, building trade standards or first class accommodation for that particular area will be used. Receipts will be required for such expenses reimbursement. 4. Unless it interferes with another job or customer requirements, offers of overnight assignments will be made by seniority to the qualified technician. Qualifications will be based on the skills needed for the particular assignment. If there are no qualified volunteers, the junior qualified technician shall perform the work. Disputes in the application of this provision shall be referred to the Union Business Manager and Area Manager for the business group involved. Remedies for any error shall be limited to preference for future assignments.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Overtime Assignments 1. In classifications where employees are eligible for overtime pay, overtime work shall be offered to employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group in continuing rotation on the basis of seniority. Each employee shall be selected in turn according to his/her place on the seniority list by rotation provided, however, the employee whose turn it is to work possesses the qualifications, training and ability to perform the specific work required. 2. An employee requesting to be skipped when it becomes his/her turn to work overtime shall not be rescheduled for overtime work until his/her name is reached again in orderly sequence and an appropriate notation shall be made on the overtime roster. 3. In the event no employee accepts required overtime work, the State shall assign employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group to perform the overtime work by continuing rotation in inverse order of seniority. Employees who are unavailable, including employees who are on vacation, sick leave or other approved leaves of absence, and employees for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship, shall be excused from a required overtime assignment. Employees so excused shall not lose their eligibility for overtime work within the then current rotation. 4. Work in progress, when appropriate, shall be completed by the employee performing the work at the time the determination is made that overtime is required except that an employee for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship shall be excused from the overtime assignment.

  • SUBSEQUENT ASSIGNMENTS After the Effective Date, the Assignee shall have the right pursuant to Section 12.3.1 of the Credit Agreement to assign the rights which are assigned to the Assignee hereunder to any entity or person, provided that (i) any such subsequent assignment does not violate any of the terms and conditions of the Loan Documents or any law, rule, regulation, order, writ, judgment, injunction or decree and that any consent required under the terms of the Loan Documents has been obtained and (ii) unless the prior written consent of the Assignor is obtained, the Assignee is not thereby released from its obligations to the Assignor hereunder, if any remain unsatisfied, including, without limitation, its obligations under Sections 4, 5 and 8 hereof.

  • Amendment; Assignment This Agreement may be amended, superseded, canceled, renewed or extended, and the terms hereof may be waived, only by a written instrument signed by authorized representatives of the parties or, in the case of a waiver, by an authorized representative of the party waiving compliance. No such written instrument shall be effective unless it expressly recites that it is intended to amend, supersede, cancel, renew or extend this Agreement or to waive compliance with one or more of the terms hereof, as the case may be. Except for the Management Stockholder’s right to assign his or her rights under Section 4(a) or the Company’s right to assign its rights under Section 4(b), no party to this Agreement may assign any of its rights or obligations under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other parties hereto.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.
