Overtime, Saturday and Sunday Work. 3.2.1 Time worked, at the request of the Employer, by an Employee in excess of the posted roster hours for the cycle are Additional Hours, except where this Agreement provides otherwise.

Overtime, Saturday and Sunday Work. An employee required to work overtime on a Saturday or a Sunday will be afforded at least four (4) hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of double time for Sunday and time and a half for the first three (3) hours and double time thereafter for Saturday, until the completion of the overtime work.
Overtime, Saturday and Sunday Work. 35.1 An employer may require any permanent employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates and such employee shall work overtime in accordance with such requirements. To ensure that weekly employees are not deprived of the opportunity to work reasonable overtime an employer shall so far as it is practicable offer such employee the opportunity to work any overtime that may be required to meet fluctuations in trade or other special circumstances, in preference to engaging directly employed casuals to supplement their normal labour force. An employer shall adopt the same principle in relation to work on public holidays. When determining whether overtime is reasonable, the following factors must be taken into account:

  • Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
