Work on Public Holidays. All Regular Full-Time Employees, other than those employees referred to in Clause 10.3(b), who work on any public holiday as provided for in Clause 10.3(a) which falls on or is observed on any day from Monday to Friday inclusive will receive their regular pay for the said holiday plus double the regular rates of pay for the hours worked on that holiday. Time worked on an approved holiday shall not be treated as overtime except as provided in Clauses 7.1 and 7.
Work on Public Holidays. The Employer may request that the Employees work on certain public holidays from time to time. Employees can refuse to work on public holidays provided that their refusal is reasonable As such, if required to do so by the Employer, the Employee must inform the Employer of the reason for their refusal to work on the public holiday. In determining whether an Employee has reasonable grounds for refusing a request to work on a public holiday, the following should be regarded: (a) the nature of the work performed by the Employee; (b) the type of employment (for example, whether full-time, part-time, casual or shift work); (c) the nature of the Employer’s workplace enterprise (including its operational requirements; (d) the Employee’s reason for refusing the request; (e) the Employee’s personal circumstances (including family responsibilities); (f) the amount of notice in advance of the public holiday given by the Employer when making the request;
Work on Public Holidays. (Aca&Gen) Where an employee is requested to work and agrees to work on any of the public holidays mentioned in 7.2.1 above, the employee shall receive payment at the rate of time and a half for the hours worked. If the holiday would otherwise be a working day for the employee, the employee shall receive an alternative holiday to be taken in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003.

An Employee working on a public holiday will be entitled to a substitute day off, to be taken at a mutually agreed time, or alternatively, the hours worked will be paid at a rate of double time and a half, inclusive of payment for the day.
Work on Public Holidays. (1) If a public holiday falls on a day on which an employee would ordinarily work, an employer must – (a) pay an employee who does not work on the public holiday, at least the wage that the employee would ordinarily have received for work on that day; and (b) pay an employee who does work on the public holiday – (i) double the wage the employee would ordinarily have received for work on that day; or (ii) if it is greater, the amount the employee would ordinarily have received for work on that day, plus double the amount earned by the employee for each hour, or part thereof, worked on that day; or (c) grant an employee who works on the public holiday paid time off in lieu of public holiday pay, in which case the provisions of sub-clauses (3) – (6) of clause 14 apply, with the necessary changes. (2) An employee who works on a public holiday must be credited with one (1) working day. (3) An employee may not insist on working on a public holiday. (4) If a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is regarded as a public holiday and if the Day of Goodwill falls on a Monday, the following Tuesday is regarded as a public holiday. (5) An employee’s period of annual leave must be extended by one day for each public holiday that falls within the period of leave and the employer must – (a) pay the employee his or her ordinary wage for each public holiday in addition to the leave pay that is due to the employee; and (b) credit the employee with one (1) working day in respect of each public holiday for the purposes of calculating the employee’s qualifying period for annual leave during the following year. (6) Sub-clause 1 (a) does not apply to relief employees.

Work on Public Holidays all work performed on Public Holidays will be paid at double time (T2), plus one day off paid at the ordinary rate of pay to be taken at a later date convenient to Bay Radiology. This rule applies to both the statutory day and the day upon which it is observed. Casual staff have no entitlement to an alternative holiday. Short Notice Shift Cover - Where an MIT agrees, with less than 24 hours’ notice, to work a shift to cover for the unanticipated leave of a colleague (e.g. sickness or bereavement leave), on a day that would not otherwise have been a working day; a Short Notice Shift Cover Allowance will be paid in addition to the standard rates of pay for the hours worked. If the shift is split between two MITs, the allowance will be split between the two MITs on a pro-rata basis. The rate of the Allowance is specified in Appendix F. Casual Employees have no entitlement to the short notice shift allowance.
Work on Public Holidays. (a) For all time worked on a day which is a public holiday pursuant to clause 6.11 of this Agreement, a Casual employee will be paid at the Public Holiday Rate of two and a half times the Process Support Ordinary Hourly Rate, plus payment of the Casual Loading. (b) This Public Holiday Rate is in substitution for and not cumulative upon the Shift and Weekend Rates specified in this clause.
