Paid Paternity Leave. A regular full-time employee who is a natural or adoptive father or non- child bearing parent is entitled to five (5) days of paid paternity leave associated with a birth or adoption. Such leave will normally be taken within thirty (30) days of the birth or adoption.
Paid Paternity Leave. A unit member may use up to 6 weeks of accumulated sick leave immediately following the birth of the said child.
Paid Paternity Leave an eligible employee is entitled to one week paid paternity leave in any one year at the ordinary pay which must commence within four weeks of the birth of the child (Eligible employees will be as defined in the Workplace Relations Act 1996).
Paid Paternity Leave. An employee whose partner is pregnant can be granted a maximum of 2 weeks paid leave for the purpose of being in attendance for the child’s birth and assisting in the home with family responsibilities. Half the leave shall be deducted from the employee's available sick leave entitlements.
6.4.14.1 Paid Paternity Leave is in addition to any paid leave the employee may wish to be granted, for example, annual leave, long service leave.
6.4.14.2 To qualify for the leave the employee shall:
(i) be an employee of Council with at least 12 months continuous service, and
(ii) produce a medical certificate from a legally qualified medical practitioner stating that the employee’s partner is pregnant and the expected date of confinement
Paid Paternity Leave a) Employees shall be entitled to one (1) weeks paid paternity leave on the birth of an employee’s first child.
b) Paid paternity leave will be based on an employee’s rate of pay at the time the leave is taken.
Paid Paternity Leave. (a) An employee shall be entitled, subject to this sub-clause, to take paternity leave in one continuous period not exceeding two weeks. Such leave shall be deducted from, and shall not exceed, the employee’s entitlement to Personal/Carer's Leave pursuant to clause 18 of this agreement.
(b) The employee shall be entitled to take such paternity leave in the four weeks before the date or expected date of the birth of the child and not later than four weeks after the birth of the child, provided that the employer may, in exceptional circumstances, request the employee to take leave at a time outside the period specified in this paragraph. If the employee chooses to agree to the employer’s request, such agreement shall be recorded in writing. Where the employee does not agree, the leave shall be taken in accordance with this paragraph.

Paid Paternity Leave. 30.4.1 An eligible employee is entitled to one week paid paternity leave in any one year at ordinary pay, which must commence within four weeks of the birth of the child. (Eligible employees are those as defined in the Industrial Relations Act 1996.)
30.4.2 Paid Adoption Leave - an eligible employee is entitled to paid adoption leave of three weeks from and including the date of taking custody of the child. Such leave may be paid: • On a normal fortnightly basis; • In advance in a lump sum; • At the rate of half pay over a period of 18 weeks on a regular fortnightly basis for maternity leave and at the rate of half pay over a period of six weeks on a regular fortnightly basis for adoption leave.
30.4.3 Annual and/or long service leave credits can be combined with periods of maternity leave or adoption leave on half pay to enable an employee to remain on full pay for that period. Unpaid Leave:
Paid Paternity Leave. 34.1 Paternity leave of one week’s paid leave commencing on the day their spouse begins to give birth is available to employees provided that they have been a full time/permanent part-time employee for at least two years prior to the date of birth.
34.2 Requests for paid paternity leave must be submitted in writing to the Centre and be accompanied by a medical certificate confirming pregnancy of the employee’s spouse not less than ten weeks before the commencement of leave.
34.3 The whole of the period of paid paternity leave shall count as service for all purposes.
34.4 Where an employee is eligible for paternity leave, the Centre may grant leave, but shall not grant leave beyond a date which would have been the employee’s cessation date or end of tenure.
34.5 A period of 52 weeks continued service must lapse before consideration of a further application for paternity leave is given.
