Annual leave definitions. 22.8.1 For the purposes of this clause: (a) Ordinary pay in relation to any worker means remuneration for the employee's normal weekly number of hours of work calculated at the ordinary time rate of pay and where the employee is provided with board or lodging by his/her employer, includes the cash value of that board or lodging. In addition, ordinary pay includes: (a) (i) The rate payable pursuant to clause 14.2.2 calculated on a daily basis which the employee would have received for ordinary time during the relevant period whether on a shift roster or otherwise. (b) Week in relation to any worker means the employee's ordinary working week.

An employee may elect to receive payment in lieu of taking annual leave under this Agreement provided that: ▪ the employee has accrued at least that amount of annual leave; ▪ the employee has given Xxxxxx a written request to cash out some or all of their accrued annual leave entitlement; and ▪ Xxxxxx authorises the employee’s request. ▪ a minimum accrued amount of 4 weeks annual leave is retained In electing to cash out a portion of accrued annual leave, the employee will no longer be entitled to take that amount of leave. An employee who accrues an entitlement to annual leave may request to take all or any part of that leave by providing Xxxxxx with a written request. Approval of the request for annual leave by Xxxxxx is subject to: ▪ the operational requirements of the workplace; and ▪ the employee having accrued at least that amount of annual leave requested. Xxxxxx will not unreasonably refuse an employee’s request to take accrued annual leave. By agreement with Xxxxxx, an employee may request to take annual leave at half pay. This will enable the employee to access additional leave to assist in balancing work and family obligations. In considering this request, regard must be had to the operational requirements of the workplace.

  • Overtime Defined All time worked before or after the regular work day, the regular work week or on a holiday, as specified herein, shall be considered overtime.

  • FTE Definition Effective September 1, 2017, part-time teacher FTE will be determined by the ratio of the teacher’s actual annual instructional time to the teacher instructional time of a full-time assignment in the teacher’s school. This FTE will be used to calculate the prorated portion of a teacher’s assignable time.
