Paid Plant Holidays. 27.01 The following plant holidays shall be recognized: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Simcoe Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve Floater Day.
Paid Plant Holidays a) The following ten (10) days will be deemed as paid Statutory Holidays: New Year's Day Good Friday Victoria Day Dominion Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day One (1) additional day during Christmas shut-down period An additional four (4) hour's pay to each eligible employee on the day prior to Christmas and New Year's Day shut-down, in lieu of an extra holiday. The Company will discuss with the Union the period of Christmas and New Year's shut-down prior to December of each year. Plant holidays which fall during an employee's scheduled vacation during the Christmas shutdown will be rescheduled by January of the following year as per the terms of the Collective Agreement. Employees, who schedule vacation during the Christmas shutdown must notify the Company no later than December of the year in question as to which option the employee is choosing to exercise. not rescheduled by January of the month following the Christmas shutdown will be paid in lieu of time off.

Paid Plant Holidays. 61. (A) Every employee of the Company, subject to this Agreement, who has acquired seniority and who is not on the working day immediately before or immediately after such holiday either laid off, or suspended, or on strike or absent without leave, or absent for more than two (2) weeks with leave, except for sickness, or absent for more than thirty (30) working days with leave or sickness shall receive his or her regular rate of pay for the following holidays: New Year’s Day* Family Day Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Day* Christmas Day* Boxing Day* New Year’s Eve* During the Christmas period* the Company will honour five (5) days off including three (3) statutory holidays and two (2) Company holidays.   • Vacation; Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.
