PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. The Association President has the right to assign an Association member to the initial interviewing committee considering applicants for District positions. The District will provide the Association with a copy of each posting and the Association President will notify the Department of Human Resources when it wishes to participate. The Association President may also appoint members to other District committees as desired. The Association will notify the Superintendent of its desire to participate and will furnish the name of its appointee(s). The Association will use its best efforts to appoint teachers with backgrounds appropriate to assist the committee in its deliberations.
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. The Resident will participate, if appointed, on Advocate, Hospital or Program committees or councils that relate to Resident education or improvement in patient care.
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. As medical staff committee appointments are made annually by the Chief of 3 Staff, the administration agrees to suggest to each incumbent of that office that a 4 nurse or nurses participate in the medical staff Ethics committee. .
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. At least two (2) support staff employees shall be included in the District Policies Committee, the District Insurance Committee, and the District Calendar Committee.
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. Each member library shall actively participate in the Pioneer Consortium by maintaining active participation in the Pioneer Council and in additional groups established by the Pioneer Council including but not limited to standing committees, ad-hoc committees, task forces, and advisory bodies.

The function of the nurse attending the committee meetings described in paragraphs A and B shall be to recommend to and review with the medical staff improvements that may be made in rendering the best possible care to patients in the Medical Center and to receive from the medical staff recommendations on the improvement of nursing care. Prior to and subsequent to each meeting, the nurse should communicate with nursing administration to be advised of problem areas and to share recommendations affecting nursing care.
D. Should the nurse feel the committee was not responsive to the nursing point of view, she may review the problem with the RNA Executive Committee, which may in turn review said problem with the Vice President Patient Care.
E. Committees that evaluate evidence based nursing practice will recommend policy changes to management; further, these committees will not engage in practices that are mandatory subjects of bargaining.
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. 1. Representatives of Switzerland shall participate as observers in the committees responsible for implementation of the Programmes covered by this Agreement. That participation shall be in accordance with the rules of procedure of those committees. Switzerland shall be informed of the results of votes in these committees. That participation shall take the same form, including procedures for receipt of information and documentation, as that applicable to representatives from Member States of the Union.
2. Representatives of Switzerland shall participate as observers in the Board of Governors of the Joint Research Centre. That participation shall be in accordance with the rules of procedure for the Board of Governors of the Joint Research Centre.
3. Travel costs and subsistence costs incurred by representatives of Switzerland participating in meetings of the committees referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 shall be reimbursed by the Commission on the same basis as, and in accordance with the procedures currently in force for, representatives of the Member States of the Union.
4. Representatives of Switzerland shall participate in Fusion for Energy bodies. Participation shall be in accordance with the Fusion for Energy statutes, including their provisions on voting rights.
5. Participation of representatives from Switzerland in the European Research Area and Innovation Committee (ERAC) and in the ERA-related groups shall be in accordance with the rules of procedure of that Committee and of those groups.
PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. 11 A. The Medical Center will appoint at least one nurse, selected by mutual 12 agreement between the Association Executive Committee and the Medical 13 Center, to the following Medical Center committees:

Ethics Committee 24 25 Meeting minutes including attending committee members will be accessible, excluding 26 confidential matters, on the Medical Center’s intranet.
28 B. Nurses and management will make reasonable efforts to relieve the nurses of 29 their duties in order to attend scheduled meetings. Nurse members of the 30 committee will be compensated at their regular rate of pay for their attendance at 31 meetings. Meeting attendance will not drive contractual overtime or premium 32 pay.

PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES. 16.5.1 Unit member participation on all District committees shall be on a voluntary basis/or assignment shall be counted as an adjunct duty. Districts and Sites will be mindful to include Association participation in decision-making that affects unit member's working conditions, practices, responsibilities or interactions with families, etc.
16.5.2 Unit members shall be appointed by the Association to participate in on-site or District committees or other committees as required by law. Unit members shall be granted release time during their workday at no loss of pay or benefits to fulfill the obligations of their appointment. If the committee meetings are held outside the workday, unit members shall be paid the hourly rate of pay.
16.5.3 Unit Members who are elected to School Site Councils pursuant to Education Code Section 52852 shall be granted release time during their workday at no loss of pay or benefits to fulfill the obligations of their appointment. When committee meetings are held outside the workday, the Unit Members shall be paid the hourly rate of pay, or choose to have them count toward adjunct duties.
