Payment of Wages, Meal and Rest Periods. 901 HOLIDAYS: The following holidays shall be observed on the date designated by Federal Law: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If any of the above holidays should fall on Sunday, the Monday following shall be considered a legal holiday. Work on such days shall be paid for at the holiday overtime rate provided herein. No work shall be performed on Labor Day except in case of extreme urgency when life or property is in imminent danger. 902 PAYMENT OF WAGES: 902.1 All wages shall be paid on a designated weekly payday and in no event shall the Contractor withhold more than five (5) working days. If the regular payday falls on a holiday, the employees shall be paid on the next regular workday. Employees shall be paid prior to the ending of their regular shift. 902.2 When men are laid off or discharged, they must be paid wages due them at the time of layoff or discharge. At such times as an employee is paid, he shall be furnished a personal record showing straight time and overtime hours paid and all deductions itemized for the current pay period. Such record shall show the employee’s name, and the Employer’s name and address. In the event the Employer fails to pay employees laid off or discharged, they shall be paid waiting time at the straight time rate of eight (8) hours per day five (5) days per week, until the time such payment has been made. 902.3 An employee who quits, or refuses to work, shall be mailed his pay in full by certified mail to his last known address within seventy-two (72) hours, or be paid prior to leaving the job or project. If the employee has previously authorized electronic payment of wages, payment of the final check may also be made by electronic deposit as long as it meets the time criteria specified in this Article. In the event these stipulations are not met, he shall receive waiting time as noted above. 902.4 If a Contractor pays an employee by check, draft or voucher, which check, draft or voucher is subsequently refused payment because the Contractor has no account with the bank, institution or person on which drawn, or insufficient funds to his account at the time of presentation, the Contractor shall be required to issue only certified immediately by certified check for the insufficient fund check issued and for the bank charges assessed. 902.5 When Employees covered under the terms of this Agreement are employed at a ...

  • Meal and Rest Periods Employees shall receive an unpaid thirty (30) minute meal period during each regular workday and two (2) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes each during each eight (8) or ten (10) hour workday. Employees who cannot be relieved of all duties shall be paid at the appropriate rate for their meal period. Meal periods and rest periods shall be administered in accordance with state law. Subject to written mutual agreement meal and/or rest periods may be combined.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods ‌ A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay. B. Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute rest period during each four (4) hours of work not to exceed two (2) such breaks during a regular eight (8) hour day, whenever practicable. C. The parties agree to comply with ODE regulations.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour. 4.2 An employee unable to be relieved from work for a meal break shall be allowed to have a meal on duty and this period shall be regarded as working time. 4.3 Except where provided for in 4.2 an employee unable to take a meal after five hours’ duty shall be paid at overtime rates from the expiry of five hours until the time when a meal can be taken. 4.4 During the meal break or rest breaks prescribed above, free tea, coffee, milk and sugar shall be supplied by the employer. Where it is impractical to supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar free of charge, an allowance of $1.48 per week in lieu shall be paid. This allowance shall continue during all periods of leave except leave without pay. 4.5 Rest breaks of 10 minutes each for morning tea, afternoon tea or supper, where these occur during duty, shall be allowed as time worked.

  • Duration of normal Interest Periods Subject to Clauses 6.3 and 6.4, each Interest Period shall be: (a) 3 or 6 months; or (b) such other period (as proposed by the Borrower to the Agent not later than 11:00 a.m. (Hamburg time) 5 Business Days before the commencement of the Interest Period) as the Agent may, with the authorisation of the Majority Lenders, agree with the Borrower (failing which the Interest Period shall be three months).

  • Commencement of Interest Periods The first Interest Period shall commence on the Drawdown Date and each subsequent Interest Period shall commence on the expiry of the preceding Interest Period.

  • Additional Rest Periods When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration.

  • Meal and Rest Breaks (a) The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to organize the work assignment on a shift in such a way as to allow each Nurse to have designated meal and rest break(s) at regular intervals during the shifts. (b) The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that no Nurse will work longer than five (5) consecutive hours without a break, unless mutually agreed between the Nurse and the Employer. (c) Nurses shall be permitted to combine meal and/or rest break(s) where operationally possible. (d) Operational requirements may require that Nurses remain on the nursing unit or within the facility for their designated meal and rest break(s). (e) Where operational requirements prevent a Nurse from having an uninterrupted meal or rest break(s) and it is not possible to reschedule the missed break(s) or a portion of the break(s) during the remainder of the shift, the Nurse shall be compensated for the portion of the missed meal period or rest period, at a rate of one and one-half times (1.5x) the Nurse’s hourly rate for the period of the rest and meal break(s) missed.
