Removal Expenses. Where an employee is transferred to meet the convenience of the employer they shall be paid removal and transfer expenses, including those of any dependent family. Removal expenses may be paid in circumstances other than those outlined above at the discretion of the employer.

Removal Expenses. For employees with a family who move to a new location:
(a) Where it is planned at the outset that the period of attachment is to be for more than three months and furnished District Health Board accommodation at the receiving hospital cannot be provided, an employee with a family shall be refunded the reasonable cost of the removal of furniture and essential effects to the new location.
(b) In these circumstances a refund of up to one week’s accommodation expenses for the Employee and family may be granted if necessary. The accommodation expenses for that adult concerned are not to exceed the travelling allowance rate specified in this Agreement.
(c) If furnished District Health Board accommodation is provided but it is necessary for the employee to transfer certain essential household items to the new location, then the reasonable cost of the removal of these items should be refunded.
(d) Where the family returns to their former location at the end of the attachment, expenses shall be granted on the same basis and scale as specified above.
Removal Expenses. 70.1. Where an employee is required to transfer to an alternate work location that is more than 48 kilometres from the place where the employee has been employed for a period of at least two years, such employee shall be reimbursed reasonable removal expenses by the employer to which the employee transfers
70.2. Provided that in the case of a transfer where an employee is required by their new employer to reside at a distance less than 50 kilometres from their former residence the employee shall not be reimbursed reasonable removal expenses.
Removal Expenses. 48.01 The Employer will pay removal expenses (in accordance with the Employer’s Policy on Removal Expenses on Initial Hire) for employees who are rejected on probation during their initial probationary period or extension of their initial probationary period or who are laid off provided
(a) the Probationary employee initially received removal expenses from Yukon University on hire;
(b) the Probationary employee certifies their intention to leave their place of employment;
(c) in the case of an employee who is laid off and the employee certifies their intention to leave their place of employment; and
(d) the employee submits a claim for reasonable removal costs to the Employer; The Employer will pay reasonable removal costs for a distance not greater than from the employee’s original point of hire to their place of employment.
48.02 The Employer will pay removal expenses (in accordance with the Employer’s Policy on Transfer Expenses) under the following conditions:
(a) where the Employer has directed that an employee transfer from one location to another; and
(b) where an employee has requested and at the discretion of the Employer has been granted a transfer from one location to another.
