Responsibilities and Duties of Teachers. 1. All teachers shall have a seven (7) hour and thirty (30) minute workday, including a thirty (30) consecutive minute duty-free lunch period. The high school teachers’ workday shall end no later than 3:00 p.m. and the elementary school teachers’ workday shall end no later than 3:45 p.m. All teachers are required to be on school property a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes prior to the official start of the school day and to remain on school property a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes after the completion of the student day. Since the elementary student day is shorter than the middle school and high school student days, any additional time needed outside of the fifteen (15) minutes before or after the student day will be added prior to the start of the elementary school day.
