Seniority List Preparation. The Superintendent shall provide the Association and post in each work location a seniority list by October 15 each year. The seniority list shall list each employee and his/her date of hire by impact area. Employees have ten (10) working days to object to the seniority list to the Superintendent. The objection should be in writing with a statement of reason and any supporting documents, if available. The employee and employer will work together to determine the accurate date. A corrected Seniority List will then be reposted and be assumed correct until the next annual posting.

Teachers with identical seniority dates prior to July 1, 1974, shall have seniority based on the date and listing order in which their individual contract was approved by the school board. The seniority lists shall be “approved” and conclusively deemed correct for all future years if there is no grievance filed within 30 days of the posting. Teachers newly added to a seniority list may challenge the correctness of their placement on the list within 30 calendar days after the date of posting. In the event that no grievance is filed within 30 days, the new information shall be incorporated into the approved list.
