SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 6.01 Seniority. a. Seniority is defined as an employee's length of full-time continuous service from his date of hire as a police officer with the Village of Northbrook, less any adjustments due to layoff, approved leave of absence without pay (unless otherwise agreed by the VILLAGE) or other "breaks in service." If any of the employees have the same date of hire, seniority ranking shall be determined by the numerical position of the employee on the final Fire and Police Commission eligibility list from which they were hired.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 8:01 All new employees shall have a probationary period of thirty (30) days worked or sixty (60) calendar days, whichever comes first. All new employees shall, for the first ninety (90) days worked, be paid at eighty-five percent (85%) of their classification rate on wages only. Pension shall be paid at the full rate. New employees who have experience with one of the employers party to this agreement, or those who have two (2) or more years experience in the classification for which they are being hired, shall be paid 100% of their classification rate. 8:02 Seniority shall be plant wide with the exception that all employees working under this Agreement in the Area of Winfield to Westbank inclusive shall be listed as one seniority plant. However, all employees in the crushing division shall be listed as a separate seniority plant. Within each plant the Company will post and maintain seniority listings. Such up to date listings will show the name, classification, starting date of each employee, and shall forward a copy of each list to the Union as it is posted. Such lists shall be renewed and posted each April 1st and October 1st of each year.

SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 10.01 For the purposes of this Agreement, seniority is defined as the total length of service accumulated by an employee in the bargaining unit. Seniority begins to accumulate from the date of hire.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. When an employee finishes the probationary period, by accumulating six (6) months of employment s/he shall be placed on the seniority list of the unit as of his/her date of hire, except in the case of an automatic extension due to a medical Leave of Absence in which case s/he will be placed on the list from the day six (6) months prior to the day s/he completes the probationary period.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. Section 12.1 Seniority, as that term is used in this Agreement, is defined as the Employee’s length of uninterrupted continuous service with the Employer as a full-time regular Employee. Layoff lasting more than 12 months. Section 12.4 Every newly hired Employee will be required to successfully complete a probationary period. The probationary period of new Employees shall begin on the first day for which the Employee receives compensation from the Employer, as a full-time Employee. The length of the probationary period shall be in accordance with the following schedule based on the Employee’s classification: Patrol Officer One year Corrections Officer One year Communication Officer One year A newly hired probationary Employee may be terminated any time during his/her probationary period and shall have no appeal through the grievance procedure of this agreement over such removal.
