Shift Times. The first twelve (12) hour shift times will begin between the hours of 5:30 A.M. and 8:00 A.M., and the second shift will begin between the hours of 5:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
Shift Times. The shift times will begin between 6:00AM and 9:00AM.

Shift Times. Primary shifts shall be 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Management reserves the right to establish additional shifts which may overlap the primary shifts, said shifts being identified as "floating shifts". Should a vacancy occur of at least two weeks' duration, employees on a floating shift may be required to change their shifts as deemed necessary by the employer. The Employer shall not establish a floating shift arbitrarily or to avoid the payment of overtime, or for the purpose of changing the starting and quitting times of the primary shifts. Management reserves the right to adjust the commencement times for the primary shifts by a maximum of one (1) hour. Any adjustment in these times, or floating shifts shall be provided to the union thirty (30) days priorto implementation. Management shall not make more than one such shift adjustment in a six (6) month period.
Shift Times. The normal work tour for these Emergency Communications Supervisors shall consist of six (6) consecutive eight (8) hour shifts in the following order: Starting with two (2) 6:30am to 2:30pm shifts, two (2) 2:30pm to 10:30pm shifts, and two (2) 10:30pm to 6:30am shifts. Employees shall work in a five (5) group ten (10) week cycle schedule. All employees shall receive a paid half hour lunch break. All employees shall work schedules and receive vacation and holiday and other benefits as provided except that up to three (3) employees may be assigned on a straight time basis, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, to any shift or shifts as established by the City to perform administrative duties, on-the-job training, and/or to provide coverage of supervisory shifts due to staffing shortages. Employees will be required to rotate through various workstation/assignments, as they demonstrate competency in each. The City reserves the right to adjust schedules and duties, after consultation with the Union, in light of experience, technology changes, and the like. The City and Union agree that report-taking by telephone is regular union work which can be assigned by the department. The department will discuss procedures and the types of reports to be taken with the Union. The parties agree to create a working group comprised of up to four (4) City members and up to four (4) Union members with the goal of developing an alternative to the rotating shift schedule. Any agreement with respect to a change in schedule must be reduced to writing and signed by the parties prior to implementation.
