SHIFTS AND SHIFT PREMIUMS. (a) For the purposes of this Article the following definitions shall apply:
SHIFTS AND SHIFT PREMIUMS. 11.01 An employee shall work a full straight shift of eight (8) hours, ten (10) hours, or twelve (12) hours as the case may be. 11.02 Full-time and probationary employees required to work the afternoon shift, will be paid a shift premium of one dollar twenty ($1.20) cents per hour. 11.03 Full-time and probationary employees required to work the night shift will be paid a shift premium of one dollar twenty- five ($1.25) cents per hour. 11.04 For the purpose of this Article 11 the following defines when shift premiums will be paid. (a) For an Eight (8) Hour Shift (b) For a Ten (10) Hour Shift 11.05 The above-mentioned shift premiums will be separate and apart from the employee’s hourly rate and are to be added to that rate while the employee works either afternoon or night shifts.

All requests for shift exchange must be submitted in writing to the Department Manager at least two (2) weeks in advance. The Department Manager will approve the exchange, in writing, subject to operational requirements and provided the person replacing is in the same classification, is fully trained to perform the work required and the exchange does not put either employee in an overtime position or result in any extra cost to the Company. 7.05 All bargaining unit members will be required to do shift rotation. For example, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday rotate to Thursday, Friday, Saturday. 7.06 Employees shall be scheduled by seniority within the classification in the bargaining unit.

If there are not sufficient volunteers, the work will be assigned in reverse order seniority.
SHIFTS AND SHIFT PREMIUMS. Employees working on the second shift as their assigned shift shall, in addition to their regular earnings for work on such shift, receive a 15% an hour shift premium. Employees working on the third shift as their assigned shift shall, in addition to their regular earnings for work on such shift, receive a 20% an hour shift premium. It is agreed that shifts are defined as follows: • Any shift during which more than 50% of the scheduled hours fall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. shall be known as the first shift. • Any shift during which more than 50% of the scheduled hours fall between 4:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight shall be known as the second shift. • Any shift during which more than 50% of the scheduled hours fall between 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m. shall be known as the third shift.
