Shutdown Periods. Effective January 1, 2020, the Program’s practice of having a shutdown period (typically during the first week of July) shall be discontinued. The weekdays comprising the former shutdown period shall become regular workdays for bargaining unit members with the exception of the Independence Day holiday. The compensation of bargaining unit members shall be increased proportionally due to the inclusion of these four (4) additional workdays into the regular work year. The practice of having a shutdown period in December shall continue. Shutdown Periods. The following shall be considered a mill holiday, and, except as stated in shall be considered shutdown between the hours specified: hours from on December24 to on One additional week of annual vacation per year for each employee will be provided by this section. This annual vacation is granted only to replace the statutory holidays formerly scheduled for December and in Article in the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, Local and Local agreements and may be taken one day at a time according to the practice known locally as "green days". Pay for this week will be as per Article (8, or hours per shift) provided they meet the requirements in Section Relief pool employees will receive this pay based on their shift schedule during the week before they take these holidays provided they meet the requirements in Section Statutory pay in full will be allocated for those employees who leave the employ of the company, provided they have accumulated hours in the year and hours for Office employees. Ifeither party wishes to change the holiday hours as allocated in above, it may be done by mutual consent. The request to do so shall be presented at least two (2) weeks ahead of the holiday.
Shutdown Periods. 16.8.1 The Company may direct the Employee to take a period of paid annual leave to which the Employee has accrued entitlement during a shut down period. 16.8.2 There will generally be two shut down periods of production on site for a one week period each during the year for maintenance purposes and the period of days between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Where a longer period of shut down is required all Employees will be offered the opportunity to take leave or work.
Shutdown Periods. 7.1. If the Employer curtails operations for a period of less than thirty (30) calendar days, but it is determined by the Employer, that work in some departments may nevertheless be performed during such period of curtailed operations, the Employer shall have the right to select employees it deems qualified to perform available work. This provision, however, shall not constitute a guarantee that employees will be assigned any work at all during periods of curtailed operations. Decisions regarding available work and which employees are qualified to perform such work during the shutdown period shall not be subject to the grievance procedure, with the exception of violations of the requirements prescribed in Sections 7.2 and 7.3, below. 7.2. In advance of shutdown periods, the Employer and the Union will meet to prepare and distribute a jointly agreed-upon survey to bargaining unit employees to establish which employees, if any, are interested in working during a shutdown period. The Employer shall survey each department to determine if there is anticipated work to be performed during a shutdown period. Upon receipt of the surveys and until the day preceding the commencement of a shutdown period, the Employer and the Union will regularly meet for the purpose of matching available employees with anticipated available work. 7.3. The Employer agrees that to the greatest extent possible, assignment of available work during the shutdown period will be made to bargaining unit employees. The Employer will give full and fair consideration to assigning work to bargaining unit employees who indicate a willingness to perform such work. Seniority will be used to make appropriate assignments for bargaining unit employees. Flex employees will be given the lowest priority in these assignments, below part-time and full-time employees, and will only be considered for work assignments if all qualified full-time and part-time employees expressing an interest in working during a shutdown period have been assigned to available work.

  • Break Periods There will be no rest periods, organized coffee breaks or other non-working time established during working hours. Individual coffee containers will be permitted at the employee’s work location.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Waiting Periods All applicable waiting periods, if any, under the HSR Act shall have expired or been terminated.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Retention periods Documentation which serves as evidence of orderly and proper data processing must be retained by ATOSS in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods beyond the end of the contract. To relieve itself of this obligation, ATOSS may turn said documentation over to the Customer at the end of the contract.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.

  • Review Periods Owner shall have up to ten (10) Business Days from its receipt of the documents listed in Sections 1.3 and 1.4 above, to issue to Contractor written comments on such documents, Drawings and Specifications. The Owner’s approval rights only apply to documents listed in Section 1.3. If comments are not received for items listed in Section 1.3 in ten (10) Business Days, the Contractor may proceed with the development of the Drawings and Specifications with the design reflected in the uncommented document. Owner will annotate the Drawings and Specifications as appropriate and return to Contractor. In the event that Owner disapproves the Drawings or Specifications, Owner shall provide Contractor with a written statement of the reasons for such rejection within the time period required for Owner’s response, and Contractor shall provide Owner with agreed to revised and corrected Drawings and Specifications as soon as possible thereafter.

  • Preparation Periods 31-1 The School District agrees to maintain daily preparation periods during the student day in all junior and senior high schools. At schools where block scheduling is in effect, the total preparation time provided shall be equal to the preparation time provided at schools not operating on a block schedule. 31-2 The School District shall maintain at each elementary school a minimum of two hundred and fifty (250) minutes preparation time per week per teacher, during the students’ instructional day, in not less than forty- (40) minute blocks. Each elementary school shall be allocated and assigned library aide hours per school day in accordance with the following schedule: This aide time is provided in addition to the assigned media clerk time. Library aide time is guaranteed for the school year once set on a school year basis. There will be no changes in library aide time allocated due to fluctuation in enrollment. This provision for allocating library aide time will only remain as part of this Agreement if librarians are used to provide preparation time to elementary teachers. 31-3 Preparation time provided for in this Article shall be utilized by teachers in a manner which enables further development and refinement of professional skills and for instructional effectiveness. 31-4 Although it does not relate to any mandatory subject of bargaining, the School District states that it is its aim and objective to establish a maximum class load of thirty (30) students in grades 4, 5, and 6. 00-0 Xxx Xxxxxxxx may direct use of teacher preparation periods if such directed use is infrequent, advance notice is given and the District’s use of the teacher’s preparation period must not consume an entire period.

  • Notice Periods The notice period (expressed in Working Days) to be given by the Customer in respect of Clause 38.1 shall be the number of whole days that is 20% of the total duration of the final SOW to be executed under this Contract, up to a maximum of 30 Working Days. Partial days shall be discounted in the calculation and the duration of the SOW shall be calculated in Working Days. For example, if the duration of the SOW is 10 Working Days: 20% of the SOW is 2 days. The Notice Period = 2 Working Days; or if the duration of the SOW is 62 Working Days, 20% of the SOW is 12.
