Summer Fridays. A. Between the July 4th and Labor Day holidays, Employees shall have the option to work half-days every Friday, with no reduction in pay or benefits. B. If Employees elect to take the full Friday off during Summer Fridays, they only need to request four (4) hours of time off. C. Summer Fridays do not count for purposes of extending DPL, SDI or PFL leaves of absence.

Summer Fridays. Bargaining unit employees shall continue to be eligible for "Summer Fridays" between Memorial Day and Labor Day, on the same basis as non-bargaining unit employees. Each vertical/network shall maintain their own policy on how and when Summer Fridays may be taken, however policies will strive to grant similar time off to employees within each vertical/network. The Company will not discontinue Summer Fridays for bargaining unit employees unless they are also discontinued for non-bargaining unit employees.
Summer Fridays. Currently, all LEA 12-month support staff members are expected to work a 7 hour day and have an hour for lunch (total 8 hours). After the regular school year ends, it is the intent to close the Board and school offices within the Xxxxxxxxxx Public Schools on eight summer Fridays. It is understood that 12-month support staff will work an additional 15 minutes per day, without shortening their lunch period, on all other workdays throughout the year.

Full-time, twelve (12)-month staff other than Buildings and Grounds staff will have at least six (6) paid “Summer Fridays” between the last Friday in June and the second Friday in August, scheduled by department supervisors. 2. Buildings and Grounds staff will be offered six (6) floating days off scheduled throughout each school year, which must be requested of and approved by the Director of Facilities at least two (2) weeks in advance of the requested floating day off. Such requests will not be unreasonably denied; provided, however, operational needs are reasonable grounds for denying a request. All language in this Article that applies to Summer Fridays also applies to the Buildings and Grounds floating days off. 3. Summer Fridays may not be used to supplement vacation. 4. Employees are eligible to take a department-scheduled Summer Friday only if they have worked at least three (3) days during the week of the scheduled Summer Friday, unless failure to do so is due to the use of sick day/s and/or designated holiday/s. An employee who takes two (2) or more vacation days and/or personal days Monday through Thursday of a Summer Friday week must use an accrued vacation day for the Summer Friday. 5. For Reception staff, the receptionist(s) shall submit requests for Summer Fridays or Mondays, which shall not be unreasonably denied, by May 1st, and the School shall confirm the schedule no later than June 1st. The School may designate a Monday rather than Friday as a “Summer Friday” in order to ensure adequate Reception coverage. 6. Any employee who declines to take a Summer Friday or scheduled floating day off as described in this Article waives their right to do so; such days are not paid out and do not roll over.

  • Lunch If the Company elects to furnish a lunch meal, it will be suitable and may be in the form of a box lunch. The meal shall be eaten at the job site or a Company designated location. Employees eating a box lunch or other Company-provided lunch at the job site will be allowed 30 minutes paid time to eat and will also be granted the dollar amount of the meal allowance as specified under the labor agreement.

  • Holidays A. The following shall be observed as paid holidays: New Year's Day, January 1 Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx'x Birthday Columbus Day* President’s Day Veterans' Day * Good Friday* Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Day after Thanksgiving July 4th Christmas Day, December 25 * These days are not paid holidays and are considered regular workdays for employees assigned to Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx. B. When a holiday falls on a regular day off, for employees scheduled to work a five (5) day operation, the holiday shall be celebrated on a regular workday to be scheduled by the Town. For employees scheduled to work a seven (7) day operation, the holiday shall be celebrated on a regular workday to be selected by the employee, with the approval of the department head; the workday selected need not be uniform. C. If an employee shall be required to work on a holiday, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times his/her regular straight time hourly rate for such work. D. Permanent, part time employees shall be entitled to the holidays of this Article and shall receive as holiday pay an amount prorated on the basis of the average fraction of the standard workweek worked during the past fiscal year. E. If an employee is absent from work for any part of the last scheduled work day before or the first scheduled work day after the day on which a holiday is observed pursuant to the terms of this Article, such employee shall receive holiday pay provided such absence is for an authorized or excused reason such as, but not limited to, illness, accident, vacation, personal leave day, bereavement leave day, or extreme weather conditions. It is understood that such authorized or excused absence need not be with pay in order for the employee to be eligible for the holiday pay. F. Subject to prior mutual written agreement between the Town and the Association, a schedule for holiday observances which differs from the days indicated in A may be established for employees of the Greenwich Library and Greenwich Board of Education, provided that the number of paid holidays is equal to the number of holidays set forth in A. In the event no agreement is reached for such change, the holiday schedule set forth in A shall control. Notwithstanding the above, in the event Board of Education determines to include Columbus Day and/or Veterans’ Day as a regular school day, such day(s) shall become part of the regular work week and the premium pay as set forth in paragraph C of this Article shall not apply. In such event each employee affected by the change shall be granted a floating holiday for Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day as each may be discontinued at the discretion of the Board of Education. The floating holidays shall be used during the school year. An employee wishing to use such floating holiday shall provide the Board with advance notice and the Board shall not unreasonably deny, condition or withhold the employee’s ability to utilize the floating holiday on a date of the employee’s choosing.

  • Operating Hours Subject to Building Rules and Regulations and such security standards as Landlord may from time to time adopt, the Building shall be open to the public during the Building Operating Hours and the Premises shall be open to Tenant during hours other than Building Operating Hours.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.
