Summer Office Hours. Faculty members shall maintain not less than two (2) office hours per week for the first course they are assigned to teach during the summer and one (1) office hour per week for each additional course they are assigned to teach during the summer, up to a maximum of five (5) office hours per week. Faculty members shall also be available by appointment during the summer term in which they are teaching.
Summer Office Hours. Bargaining unit members may apply for office hour pay at a rate of $25.00 per hour. The District will designate up to a total of $5,000.00 per summer session to support office hours for eligible unit members. Summer office hours will be subject to pre-approval by the supervisor and available funding. Unit members approved for summer office hours shall publish regularly scheduled office hours in all course syllabi as well as in the designated area for posting office hour information (as described in (Section 16.5) by the end of the first week of instruction.
Summer Office Hours. Office hours for faculty members teaching during the summer term(s) will be 3 hours per instructional LHE. For example, a faculty member teaching 6 LHEs is responsible for a total of 18 office hours for the summer term. Office hours are to be scheduled primarily so that faculty members will be available to students. When student demand permits, scheduled office hours can be used for other on- campus activities as agreed upon by the faculty member and the appropriate xxxx. Based upon institutional need, a faculty member may request to schedule some hours outside the term of instruction. All such requests must be approved by the appropriate xxxx. Summer Office Hours. The base salary also includes regularly scheduled office hours as described in 303.3.8. The number of weekly office hours shall be determined by the following schedule, at least 60% of which will be face to face either on campus or at an alternate instructional site.
