TEACHER PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. The Board has and shall continue to consult with the Local in the development of the Policy and Procedures regarding Teacher Performance Appraisals. This consultation shall continue prior to making modifications to the Policy and Procedures.
TEACHER PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. Teacher Performance Appraisals shall be conducted in accordance with the Board’s Teacher Performance Appraisal Guidelines as approved March 24, 2004. The Board will consult with the Union prior to making modifications to these guidelines.
TEACHER PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. 31.01 The Board has and shall continue to consult with the Local in the development of the Policy and Procedures regarding Teacher Performance Appraisals. This consultation shall continue prior to making modifications to the Policy and Procedures.
31.02 No member of the bargaining unit shall make judgements about a teacher’s performance for the purpose of the Teacher Performance Appraisal.
31.03 When a teacher receives a Performance Appraisal which is rated unsatisfactory the Board shall, with the written permission of the teacher, notify the Bargaining Unit President.
31.04 For a teacher who has received two consecutive Performance Appraisals with an over-all rating of unsatisfactory, a grievance may be filed in accordance with Article 18.
31.05 By October 30th of each school year, the Local President shall be provided with a list of teachers being appraised under the Teacher Performance Appraisal for that year. Updates shall be provided as they occur.
TEACHER PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. 45.1.1 Teacher Performance Appraisal shall be conducted in accordance with the Education Act and
45.2.1 Teachers shall have the right to OSSTF representation, upon their request, at meetings where performance issues are discussed. Up to three (3) work days shall be allowed, following a performance appraisal which was rated unsatisfactory, for the teacher to secure OSSTF representation, and during this time, no further discussion of the matter shall occur between the evaluator or any other agent of the employer and the teacher.
45.3.1 Prior to a meeting to discuss an unsatisfactory performance appraisal, the Principal shall contact the Superintendent of Education who shall, in turn, contact the Bargaining Unit President.
45.4.1 A member acting as a Teacher in Charge or Acting Principal or Acting Vice Principal shall not perform any aspect of the Teacher Performance Appraisals. Teachers, including those holding positions of added responsibility, shall not perform any aspect of the performance appraisal.
45.5.1 At least one (1) observation during the performance appraisal shall be in a class within the

The Board shall consult with District 2 OSSTF prior to making changes to the Board’s Policies and Procedures with respect to Teacher Performance Appraisal.
TEACHER PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. 24.01 The Board and District 22 agree that Teacher Performance Appraisal (New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP), Performance Appraisal for Experienced Teachers (PAET)), shall be conducted in accordance with the Education Act, relevant legislation, and in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s technical manuals.
24.02 The Board and XXXXX Xxxxxxxx 00 TBU agree as to the right to have Union representation at any meeting following a performance appraisal which was rated unsatisfactory, and allow for timely Union representation.
24.03 During the pre-observation meeting, the Principal and Teacher will set the date and time for the classroom observation.

1. All employees on authorized Board business will be paid travel allowance at the rate of 35 cents per km. Authorized Board business will be defined to include teachers attending meetings within the county at the request of senior administrative staff but excluding the following: - meetings held on official professional activity days, - meetings held during July and August for the purposes of Summer Institutes.
2. Employees travelling outside the County on Board sponsored business: 35 cents per km if travelling by automobile. Economy rates if travelling by air. Coach fare if travelling by train. The above represent Board policy as of the date of signing of the Collective Agreement. In all cases, Board policy at the time of travel shall apply. APPENDIX "B"

Teacher Performance Appraisals shall be conducted in accordance with Supporting Teacher Excellence 2002, which may be amended from time to time by Ontario Government or by the parties. The principal will give the names of teachers to be evaluated during the school year to the Association Representative by October 15th each year. The Board will maintain, in a separate file, any release forms concerning Teacher Performance Appraisals.
