Temporary Transfer of Employees. (i) To facilitate temporary transfers to facilities experiencing a need for additional employees on a sporadic or episodic basis, qualified employees from another facility shall be offered the opportunity to work in the facility(s) experiencing the need for additional employees. (ii) Temporary transfers shall not be implemented until the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement of the receiving facility relating to the assigning of occasional additional shifts are fulfilled. (iii) The temporarily transferred employees will continue to be covered by the terms of the sending facility’s Collective Agreement. (iv) Where an insufficient number of qualified employees volunteer to be temporarily transferred, the facility(s) reserve the right to transfer employees, commencing with the most junior qualified employee at the sending facility. (v) Orientation as set out in (5)(a)(iii) above will be provided if reasonably possible.

Temporary Transfer of Employees. To meet business requirements, the Employer may transfer employees between branches on a temporary basis for up to twenty (20) working days, or longer when extended by mutual agreement between the Union and the Employer, as follows: (a) Subject to business conditions in the respective branches, the Employer will decide from which branch(es) to request qualified volunteers. (b) In the event that there is no qualified volunteer, the most senior qualified employee shall first be asked and may decline on a seniority basis, provided that there are other qualified employees available to perform the work. In such cases, the junior employee qualified to do the work cannot decline the temporary transfer. (c) Employees will be paid an incremental mileage allowance in accordance with the Employer’s policy where the distance to the new branch is greater from the employee’s home to the new branch than from the employee’s home to his/her regular branch.

Temporary Transfer of Employees. 8.1.1 A key element in providing Employees with gainful employment is their support and participation in the integration of all the functional areas of Babinda Mill, Mourilyan Mill Site and South Xxxxxxxxx Mill. In order to facilitate that support and participation Employees at each of the three sites are engaged as Bundaberg Sugar Ltd regional Employees. There shall be no restrictions on the temporary transfer of Employees between the three sites and Employees can be required to work anywhere within the regional operations. The temporary transfer of Employees shall be consistent with the company’s responsibilities and obligations associated with workplace health and safety. 8.1.2 Employees will be allocated to a site in either the Innisfail area or Babinda area. The Mourilyan Mill site and South Xxxxxxxxx Mill are designated to be in the Innisfail area and Babinda Mill in the Babinda area. The temporary transfer conditions shall apply where an Employee allocated to a site in one area is required to commence work at the normal starting time (or earlier) at a site in the other area and works until the normal finishing time (or later) for the particular function at that site. The conditions do not apply where an Employee commences and finishes work at his/her allocated site but undertakes duties at a site in the other area or is appointed to, and accepts, a position at a site in the other area. 8.1.3 Temporary transfers shall be subject to the following conditions: (a) Except for unforseen circumstances, and where practicable, if an Employee from one site area is required to commence work at the normal starting time (or earlier) at a site in the other area, a minimum 24 hours notice of the temporary transfer should be given to an Employee. (b) Employees shall observe the ordinary working hours and conditions at the site to which they are transferred. (c) Employees temporarily transferred from one site area to the other site area (i.

  • Temporary Transfer When an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying position in the bargaining unit, for a period in excess of one-half of a shift, he shall be paid the rate immediately above his current rate in the higher classification to which he was assigned from the commencement of the shift on which he was assigned the job.

Should a temporary employee apply for a job posting and be successful as per Article 9.07 of the Collective Agreement the temporary employee shall then become a probationary employee. The seniority date of a temporary employee who is awarded a full-time position will equal the date the full-time position is awarded. No person, who is or has been employed by the Company outside of the bargaining unit, shall be eligible to work as a temporary employee within the bargaining unit, unless his record of employment with the Company has been severed in excess of one week.
