Time Off for Trade Union Duties and Activities. Workplace Representatives Post Office and CWU recognise the benefits to employees of having access to fair and reasonable levels of support and assistance from their workplace representatives. Consequently both parties are committed to enabling representatives to have reasonable paid time off for Trade Union duties and activities in accordance with the provisions of the ACAS Code of Practice ‘Time Off for Trade Union Duties and Activities’ (as amended by ACAS from time to time). Employees may be represented for individual grievance and disciplinary purposes by an accredited CWU workplace representative where this is the wish of the individual.

Time Off for Trade Union Duties and Activities. 11.1 Accredited representatives of the Trade Union may request reasonable statutory time off under the terms of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Xxx 0000, Employment Relations Xxx 0000 and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006, for the purposes of: • Negotiation on changes to terms and conditions • Consultation on employment and other relevant mattersPhysical conditions/Health and Safety in the Workplace • Accompanying staff at formal procedures e.g. Discipline, Grievance • Engagement or non engagement, suspension of an employee(s) • Time off for Trade Union Training • Time off for Trade Union Learning Representatives • Time off for an elected member of the Trade Union to attend national executive meetings. • Meetings to discuss employment/workplace issues • Facilities e.g. accommodation and equipment for trade union activities.

  • Civic Duties An employee who is late for work as a result of duties as a volunteer fire fighter or licensed ambulance attendant or licensed rescue squad attendant, shall be granted use of annual leave and/or accrued compensatory leave to cover the period of lateness, provided that performance of said duties may be verified by the Employer.

In some occasions may be required to exercise interpersonal and conflict resolution skills when dealing with tenants with complex health and social issues when other resources are not available. 2. Maintains inventory, records and standards (a) Maintains records related to work orders, chargebacks, preventive maintenance programs, and inventory; (b) Assists in the estimating and ordering of materials.

  • General Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsibilities under the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction: In addition to the responsibilities herein set forth, Consulting Engineer/Architect agrees to be responsible for those matters identified in the General Conditions as being responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer/Architect.
