Translator Pay. 122. Employees who are assigned by their Department to a “Designated Bilingual Position,” and approved by the Department of Human Resources, shall be granted additional compensation of $50.00 per pay period for translating a minimum of ten (10) hours bi-weekly. 123. A “Designated Bilingual Position” is one designated by the Department, which requires translating to and from a foreign language, including sign language as used by the deaf.
Translator Pay. Employees who are deemed qualified by the Department as a translator shall receive an additional five percent (5%) of regular base pay, in addition to regular salary. Languages eligible for translator pay are Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Spanish, Sign Language, Ukrainian and Romanian. The Department shall determine the certification requirement for eligibility and may require re-certification at any time at the Department's expense. Additional languages may be added for eligibility for translator pay upon mutual agreement of the Department and the Association.

Employees are expected to willingly perform translation 21 activities during their assigned work hours. 22 S. ORPAT Pay. Effective after June 25, 2009, an ORPAT (Oregon 23 Physical Agility Test) incentive program will be established within thirty (30) days. 24 Participation in the program will be voluntary. Two (2) tests based on the 25 standardized Oregon Police Academy ORPAT will be administered by the Sheriff’s 26 Office immediately prior to the start of this program. The passing time for the test will 27 be the standard used for police officer pre-employment and academy standard 28 (currently 5:30 minutes). All testing will be conducted thereafter at least quarterly in a 29 test administered by the MCSO Training Unit in accordance with applicable current 30 testing protocols. 1 Employees covered by this bargaining agreement who pass one of the tests 3 following twelve (12) months. The following twelve (12) months will be considered 4 the twelve-month period following a participant’s successful completion of the test. 5 After the initial two (2) tests above are offered, any employee may test on the 6 quarterly basis to qualify for the ORPAT incentive pay if: (a) they have not yet 7 qualified for the ORPAT incentive pay; or (b) they wish to extend their twelve (12)- 8 month qualifying period. Employees who initially qualify for the pay incentive may 9 elect to not test again until the fourth (4th) quarter of the twelve (12)-month period 10 after qualification, but if they fail to pass, they would not receive the pay incentive for
Translator Pay. XXXXXX, XXXXX, PEI, and UNITED: At the Employer’s request employees may be asked to interpret for employee to employee interpretation for orientation, training, education, coaching and counseling. The employee will receive interpreter differential of one dollar ($1.00) per hour in hourly increments for the time spent performing interpretation services. BUFFALO: The translator pay rates in effect on June 11, 2008, will remain in effect through February 28, 2010. Effective March 1, 2010, the translator pay rate that applies to Xxxxxx bargaining unit employees will apply. XXXXXX NEW BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES: The translator pay rates in effect on April 18, 2008, will remain in effect through February 28, 2009. Effective March 1, 2009, the translator pay rate that applies to Xxxxxx bargaining unit employees will apply.

Translator Pay. The following pay provisions are in effect when it is necessary to utilize educational support employees to serve as Translators before or after their normal work hours. The pay rate has been established as Step 11 of Appendix C. If the employee is called in at a time not adjacent to their normal work hours, which would require additional travel to and from school, the minimum pay is for two hours. Individuals who serve as a Translator should use a separate timecard and record “Translator” on the top of the card.
