UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. 7.01 (a) The Employer agrees to recognize six (6) stewards to be selected by the Union and to recognize a Grievance Committee which shall consist of the Local President and any two (2) stewards. The Union agrees to advise the Employer of the names of the local president and the stewards. All stewards shall be regular employees of the Board who have completed the probationary period.
UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. 5:01 The Company will recognize a grievance committee which shall consist of four (4) persons selected by the Union as set out in Article 6:03 Step No.”2”. The Company shall be advised of the names of the members of this committee and shall be notified of any changes from time to time. The Company shall recognize grievances filed by the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Stewards.
5:02 The Company will recognize a shop xxxxxxx(s) per shift from each department of the Company. All stewards shall be regular employees of the Company, who have completed the probationary period.
5:03 The Company undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory staff to co-operate with the stewards in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this agreement.
5:04 The Union undertakes to instruct its officers, stewards, and members to co-operate with the Company and with all persons representing the Company in any supervisory capacity.
5:05 The Company agrees to reimburse, at base rate, up to four (4) members of the negotiating committee for time spent in negotiations. Such time that employees would normally have worked if not involved in the contract negotiations.
UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS a. The Employer will recognize nine (9) Stewards from each of the following areas of the Manor: One (1) xxxxxxx from:
i. Dietary Department (2) ii. Activation Department iii. Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance (2) iv. Nursing Department – Day Shift v. Nursing Department – Afternoon Shift vi. Nursing Department – Night Shift
UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. 7.01 The Employer will recognize a Grievance Committee which will consist of two (2) Union Stewards, one (1) of whom shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx, and all of whom will be elected or selected by the Union. An employee shall not be represented by more than one xxxxxxx at any meeting with management.
7.02 The Union acknowledges that the members of the Grievance Committee must continue to perform their regular duties as set by the Employer. When the legitimate business of the member of the Grievance Committee requites her or him to leave her or his work station, she or he shall first receive permission from her or his supervisor for such absence for a reasonable period of time. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.
UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. The Employer will a grievance committee which shall consist of a Chief Xxxxxxx and three stewards selected by the Union, not more than two of which committee members shall meet with management at any one time. The Employer shall be advised of the names of members of this committee and shall be notified of any changes from time to time. All members of the grievance committee shall be regular employees of the Employer who have acquired seniority. The purpose of the committee is to deal with complaints and grievances set out in the collective agreement. Union stewards have their regular duties and responsi- bilities to perform for the Hospital and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. If in the performance of his grievance duties, a union xxxxxxx is required to enter an area within the Hospital in which he is not ordinarily employed, he shall report his presence to the supervisor in the area immediately upon entering it. When resuming his regular duties and responsibilities, such xxxxxxx shall again report to his immediate supervisor. The Employer undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory staff to co-operate with the stewards in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this Agreement. The Union undertakes to secure from its officers, stewards, and members, their co-operation with the Employer and with all persons representing the Employer in any supervisory capacity. The Employer agrees that the Grievance Committee and Stewards servicing the employees covered by this Agreement, will act as the Grievance Committee and Stewards for the employees covered by the addendum of this Agreement.
UNION GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. 5.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a plant committee to be composed of two employees. The Company will recognize and deal with the said committee on any matter properly arising under this agreement.
5.02 The Company undertakes to instruct all members of the supervisory staff to co-operate with the committeemen in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this agreement.
5.03 The Union undertakes to secure from its Officers, committeemen and members their co-operation with the Company and with all persons representing the Company in any supervisory capacity.
5.04 The privilege, of committeemen to leave their work without loss of basic pay to attend to Union business is granted. EXCEPT THAT:
1. The time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of necessary Union business.
2. The committeemen concerned shall obtain the permission of the xxxxxxx concerned before leaving his work, such permission not be unreasonably withheld.
3. The time away from productive work shall be reported in accordance with the timekeeping methods of the Department in which the committeeman is employed.
4. The Company reserves the right to limit such time if it deems the time so taken to be excessive.
