  • Recognized Holidays Holidays upon which the general prevailing hourly wage rate for Holiday work shall be paid, shall be all holidays in the collective bargaining agreement, applicable to the particular craft, classification, or type of worker employed on the project, which is on file with the Director of Industrial Relations. If the prevailing rate is not based on a collectively bargained rate, the holidays upon which the prevailing rate shall be paid shall be as provided in Section 6700 of the Government Code.   • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • HOLIDAYS The following days are observed as holidays by state agencies in accordance with section 110.117, F.S.: • New Year’s Day • Birthday of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx., third Monday in January • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Veterans’ Day, November 11 • Thanksgiving Day • Friday after Thanksgiving • Christmas Day If any of these holidays falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday.   • Vacation and Holidays Executive will receive four weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to all holidays observed by the Company and its subsidiaries. Executive may carry over, in the aggregate, up to four weeks of unused vacation to a subsequent year. Any unused vacation time in excess of four weeks will not accumulate or carry over from one calendar year to the next. Each calendar year, Executive shall take not less than one (1) week vacation.

  • Holidays Recognized and Observed The following days shall be recognized and observed as paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Presidents’ Day Day After Thanksgiving Memorial Day Christmas Day Independence Day Eligible employees shall receive pay for each of the holidays listed above, on which they perform no work, provided the holiday falls within their work year. Whenever any of the holidays listed above shall fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday. Whenever any of the holidays listed above fall on Sunday, the succeeding Monday shall be observed as the holiday. For those employees assigned to a work week other than Monday through Friday, the holiday shall be observed on the calendar date of the holiday.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Prescribed Holidays A full-time employee under this agreement is entitled to the following public holidays, without loss of pay: • New Year Day • Australia Day • Labour Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Anzac Day • Queen's Birthday • Melbourne Cup Day or a local equivalent • Christmas Day • Boxing Day Where in public holidays are declared or prescribed on days other than those set out above, those days will constitute additional holidays for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.
