Travel and Board. 25.01 For the purpose of this Article, the definition ofpermanent residence” for a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador shall be the same as the definition of Provincial Residence in this Agreement and for those outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, as follows: “An Employee’s permanent residence is the place where he/she maintains a self-contained domestic establishment where he/she ordinarily resides such as a dwelling, house or similar place of residence where a person generally eats and sleeps. Factors and/or current documents to be examined when determining who is a resident may include property tax assessment, lease agreement, driver’s licence, vehicle registration, income tax returns, voter’s list registration or proof of provincial health care coverage.” 25.02 Free Zone: There shall be a Free Zone of thirty-five (35) road kilometres from a designated pick up location in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, to the city or town boundary of the employee’s permanent residence. Employees living within the Free Zone shall travel to and from the designated pick up location at their own expense. The Association will establish a daily commuting busing system from designated pick up areas within the Free Zone, which designated pick up areas will include a location in Sheshatshiu, North West River and Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Given the limited parking available at the Site, employees whose permanent residence is in the Free Zone and Travel Zone shall be required to utilize the commuting service, at no cost, to travel to and from the designated pick up areas to a designated location at or near the Site.
Travel and Board. 24.01 (a) There shall be a free zone of thirty-four (34) road kilometres from the Site parking lot to the town hall in the community of the employee's permanent residence. Employees living within that zone shall travel to work at their own expense. Communities without a town hall shall have a public building selected by the liaison committee as the demarcation.
Travel and Board. 18.01 Free Travel Zone 18.02 When the Employees provide their own transportation beyond the boundary of the Free Travel Zone defined in Article 18.01 herein, they shall be paid travel allowance at the rate established by the Canada Revenue Agency. 18.03 Employees instructed to travel from one project to another during the regular working day shall be paid parking. Whenever there is work to be done for a maximum of two (2) days and paid parking is required for a vehicle and where there are no lockup facilities the Employer shall pay parking on a daily basis. 18.04 When working in Toronto, upon submission of appropriate proof of payment, • Effective the date of ratification, the Employee shall be paid up to a maximum of thirteen dollars ($13.00) per work day for parking expenses, • Effective May 1, 2014, the Employee shall be paid up to a maximum of fourteen dollars ($14.00) per day for parking expenses, and • Effective May 1, 2015, the Employee shall be paid up to a maximum of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day for parking expenses. 18.05 Upon submission of appropriate proof of travel, when an Employee travels from the Employer’s premises to a job or from one job to another during the same work day, he shall be paid travel allowance and the Employer shall sign an Employee-completed Canada Revenue Agency Form T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment for such travel only. 18.06 Board Allowance for all Local Unions shall be as follows: • Effective the date of ratification, ninety six dollars ($96.00) per day • Effective May 1, 2014, ninety eight dollars ($98.00) per day • Effective May 1, 2015, one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day Board allowance applies when Travel Allowance as calcu- lated in Article 18.02 is equal to or greater than board allowance. 18.07 On projects where Board Allowance applies, and are located two hundred and one (201) kilometres or less from the boundary of the Free Travel Zone of all Local Unions, the applicable Board Allowance shall be paid on the basis of five (5) days per week. Travel Allowance at the applicable rates as defined in Article 18.02 herein, shall be paid to and from the project from the Free Travel Zone boundary once per project in addition to the applicable Board Allowance. 18.08 On projects where Board Allowance applies and located more than two hundred and one (201) kilometres from the boundary of the Free Travel Zones of all Local Unions, the applicable Board Allowance shall be paid on the basis of seven (7) day...
Travel and Board. When employed on the job within the limits of the free zone, as established in the local Appendices, sheeter/deckers, sheeter assistants, material handlers, probationary material handlers and probationary employees covered by this Agreement shall be governed by the regular working hours specified herein and shall provide for themselves necessary transportation within said limits from home to job at starting time and job to home at quitting time, and the employer shall provide or pay for all necessary additional transportation during regular working hours. “A” SHEETING & DECKING TERMS & WAGES
Travel and BoardAll employees performing work beyond Zone number four, that is 96 kilometres or more from the intersection of Highways Two and Four Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London, shall receive Board Allowance as shown above, plus Travel Allowance at the rate shown above from Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London to the project or work site for the initial trip, and the same travel allowance at the end of their work on such a project or work site. All employees sent to a project or work site beyond the 96 kilometres shall leave Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London at 7:30 a.m. on the initial trip. When returning they shall leave the project or work site in time to arrive back at Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London by 5:00 p.m. on the final trip. Travel time for such travel shall be paid at the regular hourly rate, plus vacation pay and employer contributions. Board allowance shall also be paid to all employees when they are unable to work due to job conditions, shortage of materials, weather conditions, providing they have shown up available for work. In the event the project or work site is 96 kilometres or more from Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London all employees shall receive a return trip every four weeks calculated at the above travel allowance. It is agreed and understood that if an employee voluntarily terminates his employment while working on a project or work site beyond the 96 kilometres from Dundas and Richmond Streets in the City of London, then the employer shall not be required to pay return travel expense or travel time to such an employee. First week's board allowance shall be paid to all employees within the first week of employment.

Employees living within the Free Zone shall travel to and from the designated reporting point or work location as per Article 19, or from a designated pick-up location in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for work on the converter station, switch yard, and related activities at the Muskrat Falls dam and generating facility construction site, whichever is the case, at their own expense.
Travel and Board. 10.01 No travel allowance shall be paid within a sixty (60) kilometre radius of the intersection of Carling and Preston Streets in Ottawa. This area will be known as the free zone. 10.02 An employee shall receive a travel and board allowance of seventy five dollars ($75.00) per day, on all work located beyond the radius of sixty (60) kilometres of the intersection of Carling and Preston Streets. 10.03 The travel and board allowances noted above in Articles 10.01 and10.02 apply only to hourly paid workers. All piece workers will come to mutual arrangements for travelling expense or accommodations outside the sixty (60) kilometre radius.

Travel and BoardAll employees when employed within a forty (40) kilometre radius from London City Hall shall be governed by the working hours specified for the project, and shall provide for themselves at no cost to the employer, all necessary transportation from home to shop or project at starting time and from shop or project to home at quitting time.
