Vacation Season. Vacations will be scheduled by the Company as follows: 1. The vacation season will generally be considered the full calendar year. 2. The vacation season may be limited to a specified period of months within the year or to a shutdown period. 3. The number of employees who are on vacation at the same time may be limited. 4. An employee's vacation may be divided into more than one period within a calendar year if circumstances warrant. 5. Any vacation extending into another calendar year will be considered Current Year Vacation for the year in which it is started.

Vacation Season. Vacations may be granted at any time subject to the demands of the business, but the Company will make a sincere effort to grant vacations at times requested by employees. Senior employees shall be given preference. Employees eligible for vacation shall be notified of their vacation periods as far in advance as possible Vacation period selection shall be performed in (2) two separate bidding processes. The first round of bidding will permit employees the right to schedule up to the first (2) two weeks of their vacation entitlement. The first round of vacation bidding shall be completed by March 31, and the results posted by April 01. Employees may schedule their remaining vacation entitlement at the second round of bidding. The second round of vacation bidding shall be completed by April 30, and posted by May 01.

Vacation Season. For purposes of this Agreement the vacation year shall be defined as the period from April 1st to the next following March 31st. Employees who earn two (2), three (3) or four (4) weeks of vacation shall be entitled to carryover one (1) week of vacation from one year to the next. Employees who earn more than four (4) weeks of vacation shall be entitled to carryover one (1) week of vacation during the life of this agreement. Employees who carry any vacations forward shall not reverse the carry over within the selection year and then must take the vacation in the year it was carried forward to along with the their full vacation entitlement in that same year. When an employee who has selected vacation in his department changes departments, his vacation may have to be rescheduled to an available time within the new department. The new vacation dates will be scheduled by mutual consent, such consent not to be unreasonably denied. An employee who claims that they have been financially damaged by the cancellation of his vacation under this clause may submit a claim to the Employer for reimbursement of unavoidable losses. This will only occur if no other employee is willing to exchange vacation time with the affected employee.

The Company shall determine the vacation period within each department by location or subdivision and shall indicate the number of employees at each location of a department or subdivision who shall be permitted to be off on vacation during each week of the calendar year.

Vacation Season. The Company’s vacation season shall include all twelve months of the year and vacations will, insofar as is practicable, be granted during the periods requested by the employee. Final rights as to scheduling and allotment of vacation is reserved exclusively by Plant Management in order to insure the orderly operation of its business.
