WAGES AND OTHER BENEFITS. 8.1: Each full-time police officer's wages shall be determined by the Employer using the wage progression schedule set forth in Exhibit A and reflect the following increases during the life of this Agreement: Effective Date Wage Increase January 1, 2019 2% January 1, 2020 2.5% January 1, 2021 2.5% January 1, 2022 3% January 1, 2023 3% The January 1, 2019 wage increase is retroactive to that date.
8.2: Payment shall be based on the actual years of service as a Plymouth Township full-time police officer, pursuant to the seniority list attached to this agreement. (See Exhibit C).
8.3: Salaries for Part-Time Officers shall be determined using the wage progression schedule set forth in Exhibit B.
8.4: Police officers will attend EMT training, if requested by the Township, and become certified. Employees will be paid while attending such training.
8.5: After an employee's probationary period has been successfully completed, the Township may compensate the employee at a pay rate higher than the start rate, but no higher than the maximum rate, based upon the employee's qualifications and prior work experience. An employee may be awarded one step increase for each full year of prior work experience, up to a maximum of four (4). The employee will still be subject to the probationary guidelines contained in this contract for new hires.
8.6: Effective January 1, 1996, the detectives shall receive the additional five (5%) percent compensation as long as police officers are working twelve (12) hour shifts. Effective July 1, 1999, the Community Resource Officer shall receive the same additional percentage upon the same terms.

8.2 Police Service Aides - The duties of a Police Service Aide shall be established by Department and Township Job Descriptions as well as in Department General Orders and Operating Procedures. The wage rate of a Police Service Aide hired for the position or after present Dispatchers are trained for the position shall be 5% over that of Dispatcher.
