Waiver of Tuition. 31.01 Permanent Employees and their dependents accepted in and registered for courses at the Undergraduate or Graduate rate established for «Canadian and other students with Permanent Residence» (Landed Immigrant) status are exempt from the tuition fees for credit courses. For Permanent Part-time Employees, the exemption is prorated to hours worked.
31.02 The expression "courses given by the University" refers to all credit courses included in the regular curriculum.
31.03 For the purpose of this Article, the term "dependents" means:
a) a Spouse as defined in Article 3;
b) the child/children, that is to say any child of the Employee, of her/his Spouse, or of both, and who is financially dependent on the Employee.
31.04 The following persons are also entitled to a tuition waiver:
a) the Spouse and the children of an Employee who dies while in the employ of the University, as long as the Spouse and children of that Employee are financially dependent on the proceeds of the estate of the deceased Employee;
b) an Employee who has retired from the University;
c) the Spouse and the financially dependent children of an Employee who has retired from the University.
31.05 Except as provided in Article 31.04, the tuition waiver applies to the Employee and her/his dependents only for the duration of her/his permanent employment at the University. This right ceases at the moment the Employee terminates her/his employment in the University, and in such an event the Employee becomes responsible as of that date for a pro-rated amount of the tuition fees that had been waived. When an Employee is laid off, the waiver of tuition remains in effect for those courses where the tuition has already been waived. Employees who at the time of hiring are registered for a course or courses given by the University will receive an exemption from the tuition fees pro-rated to the date of hire.
31.06 The waiver applicable to those covered includes the whole of the tuition fees. However, the waiver does not include the following costs:
1. laboratory or problem period charges;
2. course change fees;
3. application fees;
4. student services;
5. student association fees;
6. deferred payment charges or withdrawal fees. All other charges of a similar nature are also excluded from the waiver.
31.07 All rules and regulations of the University applicable to students apply also to Employees and their dependents without exception. Tuition waiver for an Employee is not normally applicable to non-cred...
Waiver of Tuition. 1. The Board agrees to grant a waiver of tuition for any child of a member of the bargaining unit who actually resides in his/her home and who enrolls as a student in the District as if the child were enrolled under the District’s open enrollment policy.
2. All provisions of the District’s open enrollment policy shall apply to such students including the criteria for enrollment and the timing of the application for such enrollment with the following exceptions:
a. This waiver does not include special school programs such as all day kindergarten, extracurricular activity fees, special education program, or any program that requires the Board to pay a surcharge or excess cost.
b. The teacher has the option of paying the surcharge or excess cost for his/her child to participate in such special programs.
Waiver of Tuition. A. Full-time employees and their dependents will be permitted to take credit bearing courses offered at the College without payment of tuition if they meet all the following conditions:
1. Space is available. Space is defined as the course quota (number of seats available in all sections of the particular course as set up by the College).
2. Full-time employees and their dependents may have the option of enrolling for an audit grade. In cases where a letter grade is chosen, a passing grade is required.
3. Dependents shall be legal spouse and children only.
4. The waiver covers tuition and fees for credit bearing courses taken by employees only. The waiver does not apply to fees for courses taken by dependents or to courses offered through Continuing Education.
5. There shall be no limit on the amount of courses.
6. Priority will be given to all employees over any dependent, and priority will be given to those who enroll for a grade over those who choose an audit grade.
7. If one or more persons covered by this clause are registered and enrollment is at the course quota level, then all such persons shall be responsible to pay the tuition cost.
8. If payment becomes necessary, for any reason other than grade, they must be made by the end of the second week of classes.
9. Tuition payment will be based on the credit hourly rate, up to twelve (12) credit hours.
10. Enrollment shall be compared to the course quota on the last day of the first full week of classes.
11. If payment becomes necessary, due to a person receiving less than a passing grade, payment shall be made within two (2) weeks after the issuance of the grade.
12. Persons covered herein are responsible for completing and submitting a waiver form to the Student Accounts Office at the time that tuition is due.
13. All waiver forms shall be approved by the College President or his/her designee.
14. Any person covered herein who fails to make timely, proper or full payments shall be barred from taking advantage of this benefit in the future.
15. Any person covered herein who withdraws after the tenth week of the semester shall be required to pay for the full cost of the course. Repayment may be waived in extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the College President or his/her designee. The President or his/her designee's determination shall not be subject to the contract grievance procedure.

Waiver of Tuition. Children of non-resident employees may attend school within the Bellaire Local School District, tuition free. Children must be enrolled in the Bellaire Local School District on or before the last student day in September of the school year. Each employee will be responsible for initiating and completing all necessary forms for all waivers, including athletic eligibility, and for transportation of their children. Employees hired after the established September date will be given the same opportunity. Employees’ children for the purpose of open enrollment, inter-district guidelines will be considered as resident students and considered prior to other applicants.
Waiver of Tuition. The Board shall waive the Xxxxxx County Career Center tuition payment for children of nonresident employees of the district.
Waiver of Tuition a. Each employee who has completed two (2) years of service in the Chelmsford Public Schools is allowed a fifty percent (50%) waiver of tuition for his/her child(ren) attending the Chelmsford Public Schools and/or a waiver of tuition for any extended day child/infant care programs maintained by the Chelmsford Public Schools as specified in Appendix F.
b. Any user fees related to extra-curricular activity, intramurals, clubs, etc., will be paid by the employee, if any of his or her children elect to participate.
