Workday, Work Period. (A) The DHSMV shall not require an employee to split a workday into two or more segments without the mutual agreement of the employee and the employer. (B) Where an employee works hours in excess of their regular schedule, the state has the ability to adjust the employee’s schedule as long as it occurs within the same work period and provided the employee receives notice of the adjustment prior to the commencement of the employee’s adjusted shift for a 40-hour work period, or 24 hours’ notice for an 80-hour work period or 36 hours’ notice for a 160-hour work period. The state will make a good faith effort to offset such extra hours in eight-hour increments. (C) The work period for employees shall be 40, 80, or 160 hours, as determined by the Executive Director of the DHSMV.

Workday, Work Period. An employee's normal work-day shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours or voluntary (4) 10-hour days without overtime between March 1 - November 1. All full time employees' work periods covered by this Agreement will normally consist of one-hundred and sixty (160) hours in a period of twenty-eight (28) consecutive days. These definitions shall not constitute a guarantee by the Employer of any number of hours per day or per week or as a limitation on the Employer's right to schedule work in excess of the normal workday or work period. A workday shall be defined as a twenty-four (24) hour period commencing from the start of an employee's regularly scheduled shift. For purposes of premium pay this definition of workday shall not apply where an employee's shift is changed at his request.

Workday, Work Period. 7.1.1 The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) hours, work to be completed within eight and one-half (8 1/2) consecutive hours or ten (10) hours, work to be completed within ten and one- half consecutive hours or twelve (12) hours, work to be complete within twelve and one-half consecutive hours. (See Appendix B –Ten Hours Shifts and Appendix C - Twelve Hour Shifts.) 7.1.2 The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period. 7.1.3 Flexible/innovative work schedules may provide for deviations and exemptions from any scheduling requirements or overtime requirements in this Agreement, except as required by FLSA. The Employer will make a good faith effort to permit nurses to make recommendations regarding the development of their work schedules. 7.1.3.1 Flexibility in scheduling will be encouraged and innovative work schedules may be established by agreement between an individual nurse or a group of nurses and their manager within their unit taking into consideration such factors as employee interest, patient care needs, turnover and vacancy rates, the use of overtime and agency nurses and employee morale. 7.1.3.2 The process may be initiated by either staff or the supervisor or manager. If the participating nurses and their manager agree upon an innovative schedule and plan for implementation, which shall include a trial period, it shall be reduced to writing and submitted to Patient Care Services Administration and Human Resources for approval. If approved by Patient Care Services Administration and Human Resources, a written copy of the plan shall be given to the Union. 7.1.3.3 The Union’s approval will be required of an innovative schedule which seeks to amend a provision of the Agreement.
Workday, Work Period. A normal work day for Residential Support employees shall be as individually scheduled and may be up to 17 hours. A normal work day for Employment Services shall be eight (8) hours pay for eight (8) consecutive hours of work. The Employment Services Staff will be free of clients for (2) hours per week in order to complete paperwork requirements. The normal work week shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period with at least two consecutive days off. The work week will run from 12:01 a.m. Sunday to midnight Saturday.

  • Day Work The Company shall structure the Project Working Hours to include one (1) half-hour rest break to be taken without deduction of pay by Employees working the Project Working Hours on any day (Monday to Saturday inclusive).

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.
