Disaster Leave. ‌ When there has been a natural disaster of a magnitude that requires the Board of Supervisors to Proclaim a County State of Emergency, the County will enact this disaster leave provision. During the proclaimed emergency period and for up to one year from the termination of the said proclamation, County employees may donate accrued compensatory time and vacation leave to other County employees who have lost work time because they have been a victim of a disaster affecting their primary residence. For up to one year from the termination of said proclamation, impacted employees may use up to 320 hours of donated leave. Such donated time will not exceed the total amount of time lost by the receiving employee including vacation, compensatory time used and any unpaid leave incurred. Unused donated time at the expiration of the leave provision period will be returned to the donor.

Disaster Leave. Time off with pay shall be allowed to a fully qualified employee for service in specialized disaster relief service for the American Red Cross. Said leave shall be granted only after the requisition of the individual serving in such capacity by the American Red Cross. Eligibility of any employee for such service shall be established prior to the granting of leave and subject to the approval of the Appointing Authority for the individual involved.
Disaster Leave. Disaster service leave is leave with pay granted to an employee by the College to support the mission of the American Red Cross in giving aid to the citizens of the State of Maryland and neighboring states.

A teacher will become eligible for disaster leave coverage after the teacher has been continually disabled and unable to teach for thirty (30) consecutive duty days as certified by a medical doctor. Disaster leave payments shall be retroactive to the day that regular sick leave payments expire and shall continue only for a period during which the teacher remains continuously disabled and unable to teach. Disaster leave payments shall cease on the 61st calendar day of disability.
Disaster Leave. In the event of a major regional disaster such as a tornado, fire, or flood, etc., a teacher’s absence from school shall not be counted as sick or personal leave. The teacher shall receive his/her regular pay for this period. The maximum number of days allowed shall be determined by the Superintendent and the teacher in relation to the severity of the disaster.
Disaster Leave. The Superintendent or his/her designee may grant a member of this Association up to five (5) disaster days with pay for catastrophic events which result in the member’s absence. Each instance will be dealt with on a case by case basis and the decision to grant such days rests solely with the administration.

Disaster Leave. The County will approve up to three (3) working days paid administrative leave in any twelve (12) month period when the employee’s primary residence located in California is rendered uninhabitable due to fire, flood, or earthquake. Requests must be approved by the CAO. Documentation must be provided within a reasonable period of time. If adequate documentation is not provided, leave will be charged against any of the employee’s other paid time accruals.
Disaster Leave. Leave will be available for employees for disasters declared by Federal, State, County, or Town officials if those disasters affect all or a portion of the area within twenty (20) miles of Town Hall. Leave is subject to scheduling by the Town. Employees shall be allowed to charge time off to any accrued leaves.
