MEAL PLANS. All resident first-year students must choose one of the unlimited access meal plans. Transfer sophomores, juniors, and seniors living in the residence halls or suites must choose one of the unlimited access meal plans or the 250 Meal Credit plan. Townhouse or Waring Commons apartment residents may select any meal plan but are not required to purchase a meal plan. Students living in residence halls or suites that do not select a meal plan will be assigned the Silver Plan. The plans listed below are for the full academic year. Divide the guest passes, Dining Dollars, and the fees in half to get the semester values. Silver Plan: 24 guest passes plus $400 Dining Dollars $5,105/year Gold Plan: 40 guest passes plus $600 Dining Dollars $5,315/year Platinum Plan: 64 guest passes plus $800 Dining Dollars $5,525/year 250 Meal Credit: 250 meals plus $600 Dining Dollars $3,515/year 150 Meal Credit: 150 meals plus $600 Dining Dollars $2,600/year Flex Plan: 20 meals plus $800 Dining Dollars $1,100/year TERMS OF THE CONTRACT: I understand that by signing or by submitting the contract electronically, I am entering into a binding contract for the academic year stated above. The College, upon accepting this contract, agrees to provide a bed space for the academic year and grants to the student a revocable license to live in the College’s housing subject to the terms and conditions of this contract. The parties agree that, notwithstanding any language to the contrary contained herein, this contract does not constitute the grant of a tenancy or leasehold to the student, and Maryland Real Property Code ▇▇▇., Title 8 “Landlord and Tenant,” does not apply to this contract. MEAL PLANS. Students who accepted a traditional-style room in residence are required to purchase a meal plan. Students who have been offered a room in a suite at ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Calumet or Pond Residences have the option of purchasing the Suite Convenience Meal Plan. PAYMENT DATES: Residence and meal plan fees will be posted on the student’s account. Residents have the option of paying in two installments; the first installment being due on September 10, 2020 and the second on January 10, 2021. Interest charges (1% per month) will be applied to accounts with outstanding balances past the indicated due dates. PHONE, CABLE AND INTERNET: All residence rooms include Internet access (wired or wireless). Students can request telephone and cable TV services at an additional fee. CANCELLATIONS: Students must notify Housing & Conference Services, in writing, if they opt to cancel their residence reservation. It is also the student’s responsibility to notify Housing & Conference Services immediately if they are not accepted into their programs. Any student who cancels their room reservation will forfeit their Room Deposit. NO-SHOW: Incoming residents must notify Housing & Conference Services, in writing, if they will be arriving after their scheduled move-in date. Any student who does not move in by the first day of classes without previously informing Housing & Conference Services will lose their room reservation, forfeit their Room Deposit and be assessed a No-Show Fee. TRANSFERS: Any student who has received written approval to transfer to another residence or room will be assessed a standard Transfer Fee. HOLIDAY CLOSURE: Any student who received approval to remain in residence during the Holiday Closure period starting Wednesday, December 23, 2020 until Saturday, January 9, 2021 will be assessed the Holiday Closure Fee as determined by Housing & Conference Services.
MEAL PLANS. Students living in Springfield College Graduate Housing (Upper Hill, Lower Hill, and Graduate Village are not required to carry a meal plan, but may elect to do so. MEAL PLANS. As a resident student, residents living in St. ▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ ▇▇▇▇ and Trinity Hall have an unlimited meal plan. Campus apartments will include a 50-meal plan and Hawk bucks. Residents who have dietary restrictions must document the accommodation with Accessibility Services. • Spectrum U: All rooms equipped with Spectrum U streaming service and internet access • Free laundry and garbage removal: laundry machines available on every floor and free for student use. There are several aspects to your meal plan: Grocery Shopping: Students in residence are encouraged to prepare and eat their evening meal together during the week. Through the meal plan, each student in residence contributes the same amount towards a shared grocery account. The Grocery Card is then used by residents to purchase groceries on campus. Your RA/HA is responsible for budgeting the amount you have to spend from your shared account. Half of your Grocery Dollars will be applied to your shared account in September and the other half in January. Dining Dollars on your Redeemer OneCard: Based on your selected meal plan, a predetermined amount of Dining Dollars is placed on your Redeemer OneCard. Half of these funds are loaded at the beginning of September and the other half are loaded at the beginning of January. With these dining dollars, students can purchase meals or snacks in ReFresh, the Market, Starbucks Kiosks and Tim Hortons. When using Dining Dollars, qualifying meals are tax free. Dining Dollars expire at the end of the Academic year, when a student moves out of residence, or they expire in the case of academic withdrawal. Midnight Breakfasts and Treat Nights: Midnight Breakfast is served once a semester during Exams. As well, there are several Exam Treat nights. These are also included with qualifying meal plans. Basic Rules of Safety: Redeemer students are not exempt from threats to their personal safety and should use precautionary measures to minimize existing dangers and hazards in the environment.
