00 - VACATIONS. 5:01 During the first (1st) vacation year (July 1 to June 30) in which a Firefighter is employed, he/she shall be entitled to vacation with pay at the current prevailing salary on a pro-rata basis, in accordance with the following schedule: 1 month's service 1 day vacation 2 month's service 2 days' vacation 3 month's service 3 days' vacation 4 month's service 4 days' vacation 5 month's service 4 days' vacation 6 month's service 5 days' vacation 7 month's service 6 days' vacation 8 month's service 7 days' vacation 9 month's service 7 days' vacation 10 month's service 7 days' vacation 11 month's service 7 days' vacation 12 month's service 7 days' vacation
00 - VACATIONS. 17.01 Officers covered by this Agreement shall receive vacation days based on the following schedule: Officers with less than five (5) years of benefits seniority shall earn ten (10) working days' vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of twenty (20) vacation days. Officers with more than five (5) years and less than ten (10) years of benefits seniority shall earn fifteen (15) working days' vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of thirty (30) vacation days. Officers with more than ten (10) years and less than fifteen (15) years of benefits seniority shall earn twenty (20) working days’ vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of forty (40) vacation days. Officers with more than fifteen (15) years and less than twenty (20) years of benefits seniority shall earn twenty-one (21) working days' vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of forty-two (42) vacation days. Officers with more than twenty (20) years and less than twenty-five (25) years of benefits seniority shall earn twenty-two (22) working days' vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of forty-four (44) vacation days. Officers with more than twenty-five (25) years of benefits seniority shall earn twenty-five (25) working days' vacation, annually, with full pay at a proportionate rate per pay period, and shall be limited to a maximum accrual of fifty (50) vacation days. No Employee shall accumulate more than the maximum accrual as stated above. Hours gained above the maximum will not be credited to the Employee's vacation balance, but will be forfeited.
00 - VACATIONS. 14.01 Vacation periods, calculation of pay, continuous service and pay distributions will be based on a vacation year which shall be from July 1st to June 30th. Vacations with pay will be granted in accordance with the following:
00 - VACATIONS. 13.01 An employee accepting permanent full-time employment may book vacation in the next calendar year in accordance with the following provisions. 00 - VACATIONS. 8:01 Employees shall receive paid vacation on the following basis: 2 weeks after 1 year of service at 4% of gross earnings.
00 - VACATIONS. 11.01 The Company will grant all employees to whom this Agreement is applicable, a vacation period. Choice of vacation periods will be based on Departmental seniority, provided it does not conflict with the Company's need to maintain an efficient work force, (refer to Sub-Clause 10.03 (a)).
00 - VACATIONS. 9.01 An employee with less than one (l) year's continuous full-time service prior to May 1st will receive an amount equal to four percent (4%) of his earnings up to May 1st for which no vacation allowance has been paid. The employee's vacation eligibility date for future vacation entitlement will be May 1st. Such an employee may opt to take time off, without pay, for vacation purposes to a maximum of two (2) consecutive weeks between April 1st and October 31st, unless otherwise mutually agreeable between the Company and the employee.
00 - VACATIONS. 18.01 Full-time twelve (12) months employees shall be granted paid vacation time, to be granted as follows: 6-10 15 days 11-15 20 days 16+ 25 days 18.02 Vacation time may accumulate up to thirty (30) days maximum. The Board reserves the right to limit the number of employees who may take vacation at any particular time. Vacation days will be granted based on the earliest day of request. Vacation may be scheduled with the supervisor a maximum of 365 days in advance. In instances where two (2) employees request the same vacation period on the same day and the number of employees who want off at the same time is an issue with the Board, the affected bargaining unit member having the greatest seniority shall be granted his/her preferred vacation date.
00 - VACATIONS. 13.01 Employees with less than one year's service as at June 30th shall be paid vacation pay in accordance with the Employment Standards Act and shall be entitled to one (1) day of vacation for each full month of service as at June 30th, up to a maximum of ten (10) days.
