Acceptance of Cards. A. You can elect to accept all card types, or only certain Visa and MasterCard card types (“Limited Acceptance”). You are solely responsible for your Limited Acceptance program. This includes: (i) policing card types at the point of sale; (ii) paying Association fees and charges for only accepting certain card types; and (iii) paying any costs we incur in connection with your Limited Acceptance. Our obligations are limited to those expressed in the Operating Rules. Should you submit a transaction for processing for a card type you have indicated you do not wish to accept, we may process that transaction and you agree to pay any applicable fees, charges, and assessments. The card types are: (i) “Debit Card” -- U.S. and non-U.S. bank issued Visa or MasterCard Cards that access consumer asset accounts within 14 days of purchase, including stored value, prepaid, EBT, gift, or consumer check Cards; (ii) “Other Card” -- all Visa and MasterCard Cards issued by a non-U.S. bank and all Visa and MasterCard Cards other than Debit Cards, including business and consumer credit Cards. Your Limited Acceptance program only applies to U.S.-issued cards. The Visa and MasterCard Operating Regulations require merchants accepting any Card product bearing a Visa or MasterCard symbol to continue accepting both debit and credit Card products issued by non-U.S. members.
B. If we are unable to obtain, or choose not to obtain, authorization from an Association or Other Network, we may “stand-in” for the Association or Other Network. If we stand-in, we will authorize the Card transaction based on our own criteria. Our decision to stand-in does not change your obligation(s) to us.
Acceptance of Cards. You agree to comply with Your Card Acceptance Guide and all Card Organization Rules, as such may be changed from time to time. You understand that we may be required to modify Your Card Acceptance Guide and the Agreement from time to time in order to comply with requirements imposed by the Card Organizations. In offering payment options to your customers, you may elect any one of the following options: (1) Accept all types of Visa and MasterCard cards, including consumer credit and debit/check cards, and commercial credit and debit/check cards; (2) Accept only Visa and MasterCard credit cards and commercial cards (If you select this option, you must accept all consumer credit cards (but not consumer debit/check cards) and all commercial card products, including business debit/check cards); or (3) Accept only Visa and MasterCard consumer debit/check cards (If you select this option, you must accept all consumer debit/check card products (but not business debit/check cards) and refuse to accept any kind of credit cards). The acceptance options above apply only to domestic transactions. If you choose to limit the types of Visa and MasterCard cards you accept, you must display appropriate signage to indicate acceptance of the limited acceptance category you have selected (that is, accept only debit/check card products or only credit and commercial products). For recurring transactions, you must obtain a written request or similar authentication from your customer for the goods and/or services to be charged to the customer’s account, specifying the frequency of the recurring charge and the duration of time during which such charges may be made.
Acceptance of Cards. A. If appropriately indicated herein, Merchant may elect to accept only certain Visa and MasterCard card types as indicated on the Application, or via later notification (“Limited Acceptance”). Processor has no obligation other than those expressly provided under the Operating Regulations and applicable law as they may relate to Limited Acceptance. Processor’s obligations do not include policing card types at the point of sale. Merchant will be solely responsible for the implementation of its decision for Limited Acceptance including, but not limited to, policing the card type(s) of transactions at the point of sale submitted for processing by Processor, responsibility for any Visa or MasterCard charges assessed as a result of Merchant’s Limited Acceptance, and any and all costs incurred by Processor as a result of Merchant’s election. Should Merchant submit a transaction for processing for a card type it has indicated it does not wish to accept, Processor may process that transaction and Merchant will pay the applicable fees, charges, and assessments associated with that transaction. For Merchant’s convenience, a general description of Visa and MasterCard card types are: (i) “Debit Card” – Visa or MasterCard cards issued by a U.S. bank and/or a non-U.S. bank, or a Visa or MasterCard card that accesses a consumer’s asset account within 14 days after purchase, including but not limited to Visa or MasterCard issued stored value, prepaid, payroll, EBT, gift, or consumer check cards; (ii) “Other Card” – all Visa and MasterCard cards issued by a non-U.S. bank and all Visa or MasterCard cards other than Debit Cards, including but not limited to business and consumer credit cards and Visa and MasterCard business debit cards. These acceptance options apply only to U.S. issued Cards. The Visa and MasterCard Operating Regulations require merchants accepting any Card product bearing a Visa or MasterCard symbol to continue to accept both debit and credit card products issued by non-U.S. members.
Acceptance of Cards. 2.1 You will accept any Card properly tendered, without imposing any special conditions (such as requiring identification) not required or allowed by Association Rules. You will assess no special charge (a surcharge in connection with accepting a card for payment) or extract any special agreement, condition (including any minimum or maximum transaction amounts) or security from a Cardholder in connection with any Card transaction. You shall not post signs indicating that You will refuse to honor Card transactions below or above a specified transaction (i.e., $5 minimum to use payment card) ) You may offer a discount for using cash if clearly disclosed as a discount from the price available for all other means of payment. You shall not engage in acceptance practices or procedures that discriminate against, discourage or favor the offered use of any particular Card accepted by You. You will not require Cardholders to provide personal information such as a home or business telephone number, a home or business address, or any form of identification (such as a driver's license) as a condition for honoring and accepting a Card, unless specifically required by this Exhibit G or the applicable Association. You shall not accept Cards at terminals that dispense scrip in violation of the Association Rules.
2.2 You must check each Card accepted for validity in accordance with the terms of this Exhibit G, the Operating Procedures and the applicable Association Rules. You must not submit any sale that was not created between You and the Cardholder for settlement and under no circumstances may You submit any sale that has been previously charged back by the Cardholder and returned to You.
2.3 You will check each Card used during a transaction for validity in accordance with the terms of this Exhibit G, the Operating Procedures and the applicable Association Rules. You will not honor a Card that appears to be invalid or expired.
2.4 All Sales Drafts and Credit Vouchers must include (i) either a manual imprint or an electronic printing of the Card obtained by passing the magnetic stripe on the Card through a point-of-sale terminal, of Cardholder information contained on the Card or magnetic stripe; (ii) the signature of the authorized user as it appears on the Card; (iii) the date of the transaction; (iv) a description of the merchandise sold or rented or the services rendered; and (v) the total cash price of the Card transaction (including taxes).
2.5 Except for transacti...
Acceptance of Cards. Sub-Merchant agrees to comply with Your Payments Acceptance Guide, to the extent applicable to Sub-Merchant, and all Network Rules, as such may be changed from time to time. Sub-Merchant understands that Servicers may be required to modify Your Payments Acceptance Guide and the Agreement from time to time in order to comply with requirements imposed by the Networks. Servicers may change the Your Payment Acceptance Guide by providing Sub-Merchant with thirty (30) days’ prior written notice of the change. Changes to this Agreement must be effectuated by a written amendment entered into between the parties. However, changes required by the Networks will be effective immediately or as required by the Networks, whichever is later. In offering payment options to customers, Sub-Merchant will accept all types of Visa and/or MasterCard cards, including consumer credit and debit/check cards and commercial credit and debit/check cards. If Sub-Merchant chooses to limit the types of cards it accepts, it must comply with Network Rules and display appropriate signage to indicate acceptance of the limited acceptance category selected. For recurring transactions, Sub-Merchant must obtain a written request or similar authentication from Sub-Merchant’s customer for the goods and/or services to be charged to the customer’s account, specifying the frequency of the recurring charge and the duration of time during which such charges may be made.

(i) A. all MasterCard cards, including consumer credit and business cards and off-line debit cards (you must maintain a policy that does not discriminate among customers seeking to make purchases with any MasterCard card),
Acceptance of Cards. 3.1 CUSTOMER will accept any Card properly tendered, without imposing any special conditions not required or allowed by Association Rules. CUSTOMER will assess no special charge or extract any special agreement, condition (including any minimum or maximum transaction amounts) or security from a Cardholder in connection with any Card transaction. CUSTOMER shall not post signs indicating that CUSTOMER will refuse to honor Card transactions below or above a specified amount. CUSTOMER shall not engage in acceptance practices or procedures that discriminate against or discourage the offered use of any particular Card accepted by CUSTOMER except for special promotions offered in conjunction with an Association, provided such promotion does not otherwise violate any other Association's rules:
3.2 CUSTOMER will check each Card used during transaction for validity in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, the Operating Guide and the applicable Association Rules. If the Cardholder is not present at the point-of-sale, CUSTOMER shall be responsible for identifying the Cardholder. CUSTOMER will not honor a Card that appears or CUSTOMER otherwise has reason to believe to be invalid or expired.
3.3 All Transaction Records and Credit Transactions must include (i) the transaction date; (ii) a brief description of the goods or services sold, returned or cancelled; (iii) the price of the goods or services, including applicable taxes, or amount of any credit or adjustment; (iv) the Cardholder name; (v) CUSTOMER's name in a manner recognizable to Cardholders; (vi) CUSTOMER's address; (vii) a customer service telephone number;
Acceptance of Cards. Company shall accept each Card presented by a Cardholder as payment for Authorized Services provided that all of the following conditions are met with respect to each Card Sale and that Company further complies with all of the procedures set forth elsewhere in this Agreement and in the Operating Regulations relating to the acceptance of Cards each time it makes a Card Sale:
(a) The Card is presented to Company on or before the expiration date, if any, shown on its face;
(b) The Card is used as payment for Authorized Services purchased by a Cardholder;
(c) Company will not accept a Card for the purpose of advancing money to a Cardholder or paying money to a Cardholder for any amount that is included in a Card Sale;
(d) Company has followed the procedures for the completion of Sales Slips as set forth in paragraph 2.5 below; and
(e) Company has obtained Authorization for the Card Sale if required pursuant to paragraph 2.6 below.
Acceptance of Cards. A. Merchant pursuant to the E-Sign Notice (referred to in Section 12.B ii and made available on the Site. This Agreement shall be binding upon Merchant in accordance (“Limited Acceptance”). You are solely responsible for your Limited Acceptance with Section 1 below.
Acceptance of Cards. The following rules are requirements strictly enforced by Card Organizations, which include but not limited to:
3.1. CUSTOMER’s minimum Credit Card acceptance amount cannot exceed $10.00. Such minimum amount must be established to all Credit Cards regardless of Card Issuer or Card brands.
3.2. CUSTOMER may not impose a surcharge or fee for accepting a Card except as permitted by the Card Organizations.
3.3. CUSTOMER cannot establish any special conditions for accepting a Card.
3.4. CUSTOMER may provide a discount/incentive for a consumer to pay cash, check Credit Card, Debit Card, etc., however, CUSTOMER must clearly and conspicuously disclose the discount to consumers.. Also, CUSTOMER must offer the discount to all consumers and CUSTOMER cannot discriminate based on Card brand or Card Issuer.
3.5. CUSTOMER may not require Cardholders to provide personal information (e,g, home or business phone number; home or business address; or driver’s license number) unless instructed by the Authorized Center except for mail/telephone/Internet order or delivery-required transaction, or zip code for card-present key-entered transaction for purposes of obtaining an Address Verification. Any information that is supplied by the Cardholder must not be in plain view when mailed.
3.6. CUSTOMER may not submit any transaction representing the refinance or transfer of an existing Cardholder obligation that is deemed uncollectible by the CUSTOMER.
3.7. CUSTOMER shall not post signs indicating that CUSTOMER will refuse to honor Card transactions below or above a specified amount except as permitted by 3.1 above. CUSTOMER shall not engage in acceptance practices or procedures that discriminate against, discourage or favor the offered use of any particular Card accepted by CUSTOMER, other than co-branded Cards or other proprietary Cards.
3.8. To the extent CUSTOMER processes a transaction that requires the Cardholder’s signature, including, without limitation, a manually entered transaction, CUSTOMER must check each Card accepted for validity in accordance with the terms of this Bankcard Addendum, the Operating Procedures and the applicable Card Organization Rules. CUSTOMER must not submit for settlement any sale that was not created between the CUSTOMER and the Cardholder for settlement and under no circumstances may a CUSTOMER submit any sale that has been previously charged back by the Cardholder and returned to CUSTOMER.
