Accident Prevention Committee. The Company shall maintain in each operation an Accident Prevention Committee which shall be constituted and work in accordance with Workers' Compensation Board Accident Prevention Regulations.

Accident Prevention Committee. (a) The Management shall maintain an Accident Prevention Committee consisting of not more than twelve (12) members nor less than eight (8) members.
(b) Such Accident Prevention Committee shall consist of an equal number of representatives of the Employer and of the employees. Employee representatives will be elected by a vote supervised by the Union.
(c) Employee representatives shall be regular employees in the operation other than probationary employees.
(d) The makeup of these committees may be changed by mutual consent.

Page The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire maintain standards of safety and health in the Hospital in order prevent accidents, and illness: Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Hospital agrees to accept as a member of its Accident Prevention Health Safety Committee at least one representative selected or appointed by the Union amongst Bargaining Unit employees. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to co-operate reasonably in providing necessary to enable the Committee to ita functions. Employee representatives shall be regular employees in the operation with at least one year’s experience in that type of operation over which their inspection duties shall extend. The general duties of the Accident Prevention Committee shall be as directed by the regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act.
(a) The Company will pay straight-time rates not two hours per week to employee members for the actual time spent in attending Accident Prevention Committee meetings outside of working hours. The rate to be paid to employee members shall be the employee’s regular straight-time job rate.
