Annually Contracted Faculty. A. The Role of Annually Contracted Faculty The parties recognize the importance of full-time, tenure-track faculty in ensuring academic quality and providing students with continuous access to high-quality faculty support. The parties further recognize that fiscal uncertainties and changing needs of the community might sometimes necessitate additional flexibility in meeting the College’s instructional staffing needs. Annually Contracted Faculty (ACF) are intended to provide short-term solutions to rapidly changing needs of the Academic Divisions.
Annually Contracted Faculty. A merit increase of $71 per month shall be granted to each eligible annually contracted faculty who received an evaluation of “highly effective” or “superior” in the previous academic year.

Annually Contracted Faculty. (1) A full-time annually contracted faculty member who has completed fewer than six consecutive academic years of employment at the University shall be credited with 20 days of non-cumulative sick leave. Section 22.01 Annually Contracted Faculty (“ACF”)
Annually Contracted Faculty. (1) Merit Increase
(a) Materials to support merit recommendations shall be the materials submitted for annual evaluation of the employee as specified in Article 8.1.
(b) Review for merit increases will be in accordance with the criteria in article 10.4.b.
(2) Performance-based Increase An employee shall be awarded a PBI if the employee has received four consecutive “superior” annual evaluations OR has been recommended for a PBI on the basis of the evaluation of a portfolio submitted by the date specified in the University Schedule of Personnel Actions. The portfolio shall contain evaluation materials in accordance with established University policy and the statement of Departmental Application of Criteria.
(a) For adequate security, the employee is responsible for providing a detailed table of contents according to guidelines developed by the Xxxxxxx.
(b) Materials used in the process of evaluation of an employee for a performance-based increase shall be materials included in the portfolio, materials referred to in the employee's supporting materials, and materials in the employee's personnel file, except for confidential materials submitted in connection with the employee's initial appointment.
(c) After the beginning of the review process, the employee may not add materials to the portfolio unless additional documentation has been requested by the Chair, the Xxxx, the Xxxxxxx, or the PBI Committee, or unless the material is submitted as part of a reconsideration process, or unless the material was not available prior to the beginning of the review process.
(d) During the PBI review process, reviewers may not add materials to or remove materials from the portfolio; however, reviewers may request that an employee provide additional documentation of statements or materials in his/her portfolio.
(e) A copy of the PBI recommendation made at each step of the review process shall be added to the portfolio. A copy of any reconsideration decision shall also be included in the portfolio. A copy of the final recommendation and decision for a performance-based increase shall be placed in the employee's personnel file.
(f) A copy of any written PBI evaluation placed in an employee’s portfolio shall be provided to the employee.
(g) The Department Chair shall prepare a written PBI recommendation for each eligible applicant with reasons based on the contractual evaluation criteria and the relevant Departmental Application of Criteria. A copy of this evaluation shall be ...
Annually Contracted Faculty. Full-time faculty who are not yet eligible for tenure.
Annually Contracted Faculty. An annually contracted faculty member with a seniority number of 10 or greater may apply for a reduced teaching load for one semester for the purpose of obtaining further training in new areas of current subject expertise and/or pedagogy development. This application may be granted at the discretion of the University President (subject to the provisions of 24.2 d-f).
Annually Contracted Faculty. (1) During the first three years of employment at the University, an employee shall earn sick leave at the rate of 20 work days per academic year or 1.75 work days for each month, or major fraction thereof, of service under the employee's contract, whichever is greater. Thereafter, the employee shall earn sick leave at the rate of 1.75 workdays for each month, or major fraction thereof, of service under the employee's contract, irrespective of the term of the employee's contract. During the first three years of employment at the University, sick leave will be credited to employees at the beginning of each academic year. Thereafter, sick leave shall be earned on a monthly basis. No additional sick leave will accrue to an employee during a month in which that employee was on sick leave for the entire month.
(2) Annually contracted faculty may accrue sick leave up to a maximum set at the equivalent of 1.5 years of service as defined by the State Universities Retirement System but may not use more sick leave than the number of working days left in the term of appointment. (State Universities Retirement System rules still apply in accordance with the unused/unpaid sick leave chart).
