Basic Leave Allowance. Employees working 12-month assignments will receive a leave allowance of fifteen (15) days and employees scheduled less than 12 months will receive twelve (12) days. The leave allowance of paid days shall be granted for each full school year provided the principal has served for a minimum of twenty (20) duty days each year. Leave not used during any school year shall accumulate without limit.

Basic Leave Allowance. An employee receives a basic leave allowance of one working day (8 hours for 1.0 FTE) per month for absence without deduction from pay. An employee working less than 1.0 FTE receives leave on a prorated basis. The basic leave allowance may be used for sick leave, family illness leave, personal leave and religious observance leave under the terms and conditions set forth in this Section. The leave is requested using the district’s electronic leave system. This leave is deducted from the employee’s basic accumulated leave allowance. Basic leave not used during any fiscal year accumulates without limit.

Individuals leaving employment prior to end of the school year shall have their leave allowance pro-rated accordingly, and used but not yet earned sick leave shall be deducted from the employee's final check. C. Effective January 1, 2024, employees working less than an average of four (4) hours per day will receive one (1) hour of sick leave for every 30 hours paid (.03333 earned sick and safe leave for every hour on the payroll in accordance with MN State Statute 181.032). Employees working less than an average of four (4) hours per day may earn up to 48 hours of sick leave per year and may carry over unused leave up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours in their sick leave bank in any one year.

  • Maternity Leave Allowance ‌ (a) An employee who qualifies for maternity leave pursuant to Clause 21.1, shall be paid a maternity leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) Plan. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer, proof that she has applied for and is eligible to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for maternity leave allowance. (b) Pursuant to the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) Plan, the maternity leave allowance will consist of 15 weekly payments equivalent to the difference between the employment insurance gross benefits and any other earnings received by the employee and 85% of the employee's basic pay.

  • Vehicle Allowance Vehicle allowances for all distances travelled while on employer business shall be paid to employees required to use their own vehicles in the performance of their duties. This does not include travel to and from work. Vehicle allowance shall be 40¢ per kilometre. Vehicles driven on employer business will be in compliance with ICBC Regulations.

  • Aid Allowance An employee who has been appointed by the Employer and trained to render first aid and who is the current holder of appropriate first aid qualifications such as a certificate from the St. Xxxx's Ambulance or similar body shall be paid weekly an allowance as detailed in Appendix A. The Employer will always appoint the appropriate number of First Aid Officers as required by relevant legislation and Code of Practice.

  • Annual Allowance The Corporation shall pay to the Executive, in cash, in a lump sum, on the Payment Date an amount equal to two times the annual allowance to which the Executive is entitled as of the date of the Date of Termination (or, if higher, as of immediately prior to the Effective Date).

  • Vacation Allowance Employees in permanent positions are entitled to vacation with pay. Accrual is based upon straight time hours of working time per calendar month of service and begins on the date of appointment to a permanent position. Increased accruals begin on the first of the month following the month in which the employee qualifies. Accrual for portions of a month shall be in minimum amounts of one (1) hour calculated on the same basis as for partial month compensation pursuant to Section 5.6 of this MOU. Vacation credits may be taken in one (1) minute increments but may not be taken during the first six (6) months of employment (not necessarily synonymous with probationary status) except where sick leave has been exhausted; and none shall be allowed in excess of actual accrual at the time vacation is taken.
