BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. When an employee works in excess of four (4) hours overtime contiguous to the regular shift or when an employee has been called out for emergency overtime which exceeds four (4) hours the Employer shall grant a one-half (1/2) hour paid lunch break. An additional one-half (1/2) hour paid break shall be granted for each additional four (4) hour period the employee works overtime.

BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. 25.4.1 An Employee required by the Company to work two (2) or more hours overtime continuous with ordinary hours of work will be given a paid crib break of 30 minutes. For every subsequent four (4) hours of overtime worked a further paid crib break of 30 mins will be provided.
25.4.2 Crib breaks will be paid at the Employee’s Base Rate of Pay for their ordinary time worked.
BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. (a) When an employee is required to work overtime to commence at the end of his shift, which is expected to be of at least two (2) hours duration, and the employee has not had a break or a lunch period at the end of his shift, he shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute break in the first 2 hours of overtime work.
(b) When an employee works overtime he shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute break after each full two (2) hours of overtime work unless he is leaving the job or going on lunch break.
BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. 19.4.1 An employee working overtime shall be allowed a break of 20 minutes at the appropriate rate without deduction of pay after each 4 hours of overtime worked, if the employee continues work after such break time.
19.4.2 Provided that where a day worker on a five day week is required to work overtime on a Saturday, the first prescribed break shall, if occurring between 10.00am and 1.00pm, be paid at ordinary rates.
19.4.3 Unless the period of overtime is less than 1½ hours, an employee before starting overtime after working ordinary hours shall be allowed a meal break of 20 minutes which shall be paid for at ordinary rates. An employer and employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand provided that the employer shall not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of 20 minutes.

BREAKS DURING OVERTIME. An employee will not normally be required to work more than 5 hours without a break. A six hour period without a break is allowable when the work performed: • is maintenance on plant and equipment affecting public safety or health; or • is maintenance on plant and equipment which can only be performed when the plant is idle. Work performed without meal breaks beyond the limits specified shall be paid an additional .5 of the ordinary rate, in addition to the applicable penalty, until such a meal break is allowed. A paid crib break of 20 minutes will be allowed after each 4 hours of work, provided the employee works beyond 4 hours. An employee required to work overtime for more than 2 hours, without being notified the day before, shall be paid a meal break as specified in Appendix 1. Such payment need not be made for an employee who could easily return home for meals.
