Crib Breaks. Not more than 30 minutes nor less than 20 minutes shall be allowed to Teachers each day for a midday crib break. Such crib break shall be counted as time worked and will not be in addition to the meal break.
Crib Breaks. Crib breaks will total 1 paid hour per shift and be counted as time worked. One crib break will be 30 minutes, the remaining 30 minutes may either be taken as:
Crib Breaks. Where an employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, an employee shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 20 minutes duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work the employee shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes duration. In the event of an employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking a the crib time of 20 minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, the employee shall be regarded as having worked 20 minutes more than the time worked and paid accordingly.
Crib Breaks. Unless the period of overtime is less than one hour, an employee before starting overtime after working ordinary hours shall be allowed a crib break of twenty minutes, counted as time worked. An employee working overtime Saturday, Sunday or week day; shall be allowed a crib break of twenty minutes without loss of pay after each four hours of overtime worked if the employee is to continue to work beyond such crib time. The Company and employees may agree to any variation of the crib time provision to meet the circumstances of the work providing that the employer shall not be required to make any payment in excess of the time allowed and at the appropriate rate in accordance with this clause.
Crib Breaks. A shift worker shall be allowed a twenty minute paid crib break to be taken during the shift at a time coordinated by the Team Leader. The crib-break will be taken at a time that will not interfere with the continuity of work.
Crib Breaks. 9.12.1 Employees who are required to continue working for more than one hour after the ordinary ceasing time shall be allowed 30 minutes for crib after the first hour worked for which no deduction of pay shall be made.
9.12.2 Employees who are then required to continue to work an additional four hours after the above crib break shall be entitled to a 45 minute crib break, to be paid at double time, for each additional four hours overtime worked.
Crib Breaks. (Ordinary Hours) A crib break is a short paid meal break that is taken on the job. During a crib break an employee is required to remain on the premises and on duty to be available to attend to emergency situations. Both during ordinary hours and overtime crib breaks of 20 minutes will be taken at times which are flexible and meet the needs of the SOH within the following guidelines: a) For work of more than 5 and not more than 7 hours one crib break. b) For each additional three hours or part thereof one crib break. Break provided late or not taken - Any employee required to work for more than seven hours continuously without a crib break will be paid their ordinary rate of pay plus a penalty of 100% in lieu of any other applicable penalties until the break is granted. On a public holiday the penalty rate will be paid their ordinary rate of pay plus a penalty of 150%. The following classifications can be rostered for crib breaks: a) Stage Manager b) Operational Security Officer c) Duty Security Supervisor d) Theatre Manager e) Fire and Safety Officer f) Occupational Health Nurse 14.
Crib Breaks. 20.5.1 An employee working overtime on the instruction of the Company, shall be allowed a crib time of twenty minutes without deduction of pay after each four and one half consecutive hours of overtime worked if the employee continues to work after such crib time.
20.5.2 Unless the period of overtime is two hours or less, an employee shall be allowed a meal break of twenty minutes before starting overtime after working ordinary hours, which shall be paid for at ordinary rates.
20.5.3 The Company and an employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand; provided that the Company shall not be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of twenty minutes.
Crib Breaks shift worker relieving another shift worker on weekends
(i) Employees working 8 hour shifts shall be allowed 30 minutes in each rostered shift for meal times (crib) which shall be taken after the completion of 2 hours and prior to the start of the 6th hour after the commencement of the shift worker’s ordinary hours of work.
(ii) Employees working 12 hour shifts, shall be allowed 45 minutes in each rostered shift for meal times (crib) provided that no one break shall exceed 30 minutes in duration (e.g. one break of 30 minutes and one break of 15 minutes).
(iii) Employees working shifts of between 8 hours and 12 hours shall be allowed a proportionate amount of the entitlement provided to 12 hour shift workers for meal times (crib) in each rostered shift.
(iv) Shift workers shall take their crib breaks at such time so as not to interfere with the continuity of work.
(v) Crib times for shift workers shall be taken without deduction of pay.
(vi) Where a shift worker is not relieved for crib and is unable to have a break of 30 minutes for crib within a period of 40 minutes from the time of commencing crib, the shift worker shall be entitled to an additional 30 minutes’ pay at their overtime rate of pay.
(vii) Where shift workers are required to take their crib at their place of work, suitable places for such shift workers to take their crib together with tables and seating shall be provided by the Company.
Crib Breaks. (a) Employees engaged for a minimum of five hours shall be allowed a crib period of 20 minutes without deduction of pay.
(b) Employees required to continue working a further 5 hours on top of the minimum shift shall be allowed a crib period of 20 minutes without deduction of pay provided that an employee working the day and night session on that day shall be allowed an unpaid meal break of up to one hour between 4pm and 7pm and further provided that an employee hereby entitled to a meal break of one hour who is required to work without such a meal break shall receive payments at time and one half for all time worked after 7pm until he or she receives such a meal break.
(c) Both above crib breaks shall be taken at a time convenient to the Club but in no case shall the break be allowed at the beginning or the end of the period of duty.
