Casual Overtime. (a) Overtime for casual Employees means work that is performed:
Casual Overtime. Casual staff will only be eligible for overtime when requested to work more than eight hours in any one day or in excess of 38 hours in any one working week, or outside the span of hours. An employee may elect, with the consent of the Company, to work make-up time, under which the employee takes time off as ordinary hours, and works those hours at a later time, during the spread of ordinary hours provided in the Agreement at the ordinary rate of pay. An employee on shift work may elect, with the consent of the Company, to work make-up time under which the employee takes time off ordinary hours and works those hours at a time later, at the shift work rate which would have been applicable to the hours taken off. On each occasion that the employee elects to use this provision the resulting agreement shall be recorded in the records kept by the department Supervisor/Manager.
Casual Overtime. In order to complete a transaction, an employee may be required to work up to three-tenths of an hour a day, with compensatory time off, when it is essential that a task started by the employee be completed. Such compensatory time not scheduled by the supervisor within the established biweekly pay period in which it is earned shall be paid at the appropriate rate.
Casual Overtime. During the recent set of negotiations discussions were held concerning casual overtime. Casual overtime is on shift overtime for non-production work such as but not limited to work cell rearrangement or general plant clean-up. (b) Authorised overtime for casual Employees is to be paid at the rate of time and three-quarters (175%) for the first two hours and double time and a quarter (225%) thereafter, save that authorised overtime: (i) outside the spread of twelve hours from the commencement of the last period of ordinary duty will be paid at the rate of double time and a quarter (225%); (ii) on a Saturday or Sunday will be paid at the rate of double time and a quarter (225%); (iii) on a public holiday will be paid at the rate of double time and three quarter (275%); (iv) outside the spread of ten hours from the commencement of work by an Employee rostered to work broken shifts will be paid at the rate of time and three-quarters (175%); (v) outside the spread of twelve hours from the commencement of work by an Employee rostered to work broken shifts will be paid at the rate of double time and a quarter (225%).
