CLASS SIZE AND TEACHER LOAD. A. Principals, in conjunction with elementary teachers, shall develop class lists for the following school year based upon the educational needs of the students. Changes can be made after a list is developed based upon student needs. The school administration recognizes the desirability of maintaining class sizes commensurate with good educational practices. To this end, efforts shall be made within limitations of budget and space to maintain reasonable class size, averages given below: English Teachers 110 maximum student load The school Administration also recognizes that students with 504 Accommodation Plans, Individualized Education Plans, and Behavioral Improvement Plans developed as a result of a functional behavioral assessment, may require extra attention from classroom teachers and, therefore, mainstreamed students should usually be evenly distributed among all teachers at any given grade level. B. Examples of acceptable reasons for not conforming to the above class sizes guidelines may be any of the following: 1. There is no suitable permanent classroom space and/or personnel within the building to permit scheduling of any additional class or classes. 2. Conformity to class size would result in half a class or less, or part-time classes. 3. A class is necessary in order to provide for innovative or experimental instruction. 4. Physical education, band or choir, team teaching, and large group instruction programs may exceed the above guidelines. In this respect, the Superintendent and representatives from the administration will meet with representatives of the New Hartford Teachers’ Association during the second week of school to examine statistics and make modifications wherever possible. The Superintendent shall submit the committee’s report to the Board of Education.

The parties acknowledge that typically it is desirable in the interests of quality instruction to maintain reasonable class sizes within the District's financial circumstances and other applicable factors. The Union may periodically submit a written commentary on class size to the Superintendent or designee and such report shall be given to the Board of Education in the next Board packet. Middle school teachers who teach a departmentalized program (i.e., not self-contained classrooms) shall be scheduled to teach no more than six (6) periods per day (exclusive of lunchroom or other student supervision). Except in an emergency, all other teachers including special education teaching positions, but excluding the speech pathologist, librarian, social worker, school nurse, ESL, reading and technology coordinators and other similarly situated future non-classroom positions, shall have an average minimum of two hundred (200) minutes of individual planning time per week (predicated upon five (5) days of full-time student attendance). Planning periods shall be computed in blocks of no less than twenty (20) minutes. Part- time teachers shall have their weekly planning time pro-rated.

CLASS SIZE AND TEACHER LOAD. The parties recognize the desirability from both an educational viewpoint, and the viewpoint of providing a good working environment for teachers, of limiting students participating in a class and of equalizing, as much as possible, the number of students assigned to various classes conducted within a grade level or subject area. To that end, it is the policy of the Board to limit class size and to equalize class size to an extent consistent with sound educational principles and the fiscal and physical facilities of the system. In like manner, teacher load, specifically teaching classes per day or per week and different preparations per day or per week, should also be limited whenever possible to an extent consistent with the same sound educational principles and the fiscal and physical facilities of the system. For the purpose of reasonable class size, consideration must be given to students with special learning needs and their ability to function in a normal classroom environment.

  • Class Size a) When CONTRACTOR is a nonpublic school, CONTRACTOR shall ensure that class size shall not exceed a ratio of one teacher per fourteen (14) pupils. Each classroom with 2 or more students shall be assigned at least one paraprofessional. Upon written approval by an authorized XXX representative, class size may be temporarily increased by a ratio of 1 teacher to sixteen (16) pupils when necessary to provide services to pupils with disabilities. For any billing period where the class size has exceeded sixteen (16) students for five consecutive school days, the CONTRACTOR shall have a 10% decrease in its approved daily rate for those LEA students that exceeded sixteen (16), for those days (over five). b) In the event a nonpublic school is unable to fill a vacant teaching position responsible for direct instruction to students, and the vacancy has direct impact on the California Department of Education Certification of that school, the nonpublic school shall develop a plan to assure appropriate coverage of student by first utilizing existing certificated staff. The nonpublic school and the LEA may agree to one 30 school day period per contract year where class size may be increased to assure coverage by an appropriately credentialed teacher. Such an agreement shall be in writing and signed by both parties. This provision does not apply to a nonpublic agency. c) CONTRACTOR providing special education instruction for individuals with exceptional needs between the ages of three and five years, inclusive, shall also comply with the appropriate instructional adult to child ratios pursuant to California Education Code sections 56440 et seq.

  • SPECIALIZED JOB CLASSES Where there is a particular specialized job class in which the pay rate is below the local market value assessment of that job class, the parties may use existing means under the collective agreement to adjust compensation for that job class.

  • Configuration Management The Contractor shall maintain a configuration management program, which shall provide for the administrative and functional systems necessary for configuration identification, control, status accounting and reporting, to ensure configuration identity with the UCEU and associated cables produced by the Contractor. The Contractor shall maintain a Contractor approved Configuration Management Plan that complies with ANSI/EIA-649 2011. Notwithstanding ANSI/EIA-649 2011, the Contractor’s configuration management program shall comply with the VLS Configuration Management Plans, TL130-AD-PLN-010-VLS, and shall comply with the following:

  • Network Interconnection Architecture Each Party will plan, design, construct and maintain the facilities within their respective systems as are necessary and proper for the provision of traffic covered by this Agreement. These facilities include but are not limited to, a sufficient number of trunks to the point of interconnection with the tandem company, and sufficient interoffice and interexchange facilities and trunks between its own central offices to adequately handle traffic between all central offices within the service areas at a P.01 grade of service or better. The provisioning and engineering of such services and facilities will comply with generally accepted industry methods and practices, and will observe the rules and regulations of the lawfully established tariffs applicable to the services provided.

  • Procedures for Providing NP Through Full NXX Code Migration Where a Party has activated an entire NXX for a single Customer, or activated at least eighty percent (80%) of an NXX for a single Customer, with the remaining numbers in that NXX either reserved for future use by that Customer or otherwise unused, if such Customer chooses to receive Telephone Exchange Service from the other Party, the first Party shall cooperate with the second Party to have the entire NXX reassigned in the LERG (and associated industry databases, routing tables, etc.) to an End Office operated by the second Party. Such transfer will be accomplished with appropriate coordination between the Parties and subject to appropriate industry lead times for movements of NXXs from one switch to another. Neither Party shall charge the other in connection with this coordinated transfer.

  • STATEWIDE CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM If the maximum amount payable to Contractor under this Contract is $100,000 or greater, either on the Effective Date or at any time thereafter, this section shall apply. Contractor agrees to be governed by and comply with the provisions of §§00-000-000, 00-000-000, 00-000-000, and 00- 000-000, C.R.S. regarding the monitoring of vendor performance and the reporting of contract information in the State’s contract management system (“Contract Management System” or “CMS”). Contractor’s performance shall be subject to evaluation and review in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Contract, Colorado statutes governing CMS, and State Fiscal Rules and State Controller policies.

  • Trunk Group Architecture and Traffic Routing 5.2.1 The Parties shall jointly establish Access Toll Connecting Trunks between CLEC and CBT by which they will jointly provide Tandem-transported Switched Exchange Access Services to Interexchange Carriers to enable such Interexchange Carriers to originate and terminate traffic from and to CLEC's Customers. 5.2.2 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access and non-translated Toll Free traffic (e.g., 800/888) to allow CLEC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier that is connected to the CBT access Tandem. 5.2.3 The Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be one-way or two-way trunks, as mutually agreed, connecting an End Office Switch that CLEC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access Service in the given LATA to an access Tandem Switch CBT utilizes to provide Exchange Access in the LATA.

  • Participating TO’s Interconnection Facilities The Participating TO shall design, procure, construct, install, own and/or control the Participating TO’s Interconnection Facilities described in Appendix A at the sole expense of the Interconnection Customer. Unless the Participating TO elects to fund the capital for the Participating TO’s Interconnection Facilities, they shall be solely funded by the Interconnection Customer.

  • Prescription Safety Glasses Prescription safety glasses will be furnished by the employer. The employer retains the authority to establish reasonable rules and procedures regarding frequency of issue, replacement of damaged glasses, limits on reimbursement costs and coordination with the employer's vision plan.

  • Modification of the Small Generating Facility The Interconnection Customer must receive written authorization from the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner before making any change to the Small Generating Facility that may have a material impact on the safety or reliability of the New York State Transmission System or the Distribution System. Such authorization shall not be unreasonably withheld. Modifications shall be done in accordance with Good Utility Practice. If the Interconnection Customer makes such modification without the prior written authorization of the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner, the Connecting Transmission Owner shall have the right to temporarily disconnect the Small Generating Facility. If disconnected, the Small Generating Facility will not be reconnected until the unauthorized modifications are authorized or removed.
