Computer Technician. A. Classification
Computer Technician. The workday shall consist of eight and one-half (8½) hours including a non-paid duty free lunch period of thirty (30) consecutive minutes in length. The regular work year shall consist of 260 work days.
Computer Technician. A Computer Technician shall be a qualified employee assigned to the installation, troubleshooting, modification, and repair of stand-alone and specified networked computers, including desktops, laptops, and hubs along with legacy equipment. Computer Technicians may also be assigned the installation of software and associated activities as determined by the Company. Computer Technicians install, troubleshoot, modify and repair stand-alone and networked peripheral equipment including, but not limited to, boarding pass readers, magnetic swipe readers, ticket printers, bagtag printers, scanning equipment, laser printers, impact printers, modems, and other electronic devices as assigned by the Company. Computer Technicians assist with the installation of various network devices, by installing servers, routers and switches, and verifying pre-installed software. Computer Technicians work with distributed Systems Support groups to provide initial cur- sory troubleshooting of network servers, routers and switches. Computer Technicians shall not perform any work presently performed by Ground Communications Technicians. Computer Technicians shall be subject to call at any time and shall be required to travel to the extent necessary to accomplish their work. A Computer Technician who has completed his probationary period may, in addition to his work and responsibilities as a Computer Technician, be required to provide on the job training to an employee of the same classification on jobs, but shall not perform the work of a Lead Computer Technician in leading and direct- ing the work of other employees.
Computer Technician. The Computer Technician shall work seven and one half (7.5) hours per day, with the starting and ending times set by the Principal.
Computer Technician. The normal work day for full-time Computer Technicians unless otherwise determined by the Board, shall be scheduled between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with a total elapsed time including the unpaid lunch period not to exceed nine (9) consecutive hours. It is understood and agreed that the supervisor has the right to amend the working schedule to meet the needs of the school community and Board office, as required. For purposes of clarification school community shall be as defined in Board policy.
Computer Technician. Eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week, except North of Smokey where the hours of work for full-time employees shall be between six and one-half (6 ½) hours per day to a maximum of eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week.
Computer Technician. Under the supervision of the classroom teacher and school administrator, works to perform non-teaching tasks which will assist teachers in the instruction of computer literacy and the use of computer assisted learning programs. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Computer Technician. This position is covered by the contract sections which cover custodial and maintenance employees, with the following exceptions:
1. The position is not covered by Article 7, C.
2. Instead of Article 12, B. 3., the position has the following holiday schedule:
a. Fourth of July
b. Labor Day
c. Thanksgiving
d. The Friday after Thanksgiving
e. Christmas Eve
f. Christmas Day
g. New Year's Day
x. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day
i. President's Day
j. Good Friday or Easter Monday
k. Memorial Day
l. Two (2) additional days to be granted. These days are to be mutually agreeable to the employee and the Technology Director. The work load is to be taken into consideration.
3. The position is not covered by Article 12, C. 6. The position occupant may use vacation time with the approval of the Technology Director.
4. Article 12, C. 7. and 8. Vacation time requests shall go to the Technology Director for approval.
5. The position has a twelve (12) month work year.
6. The position is not covered by Article 13. The following is the work week:
a. The work week shall be 40 hours.
b. The normal work day will be eight (8) and one-half (1/2) hours with a half- hour (1/2) lunch period.
7. The position is not covered by Article 32, K., L., M. and X.
8. The salary for this position is covered by Schedule Q.
9. The position occupant must check in and out by time clock. All overtime must be approved in advance by the Technology Director.

A secretary who reports to an administrator who is responsible for a facility, district program and/or business function of limited scope not necessarily district wide who performs duties related to maintaining and repairing computers and/or software training.
