Definition of an Employee. An employee is any person engaged by OC who has reported for duty as a College Professor, Librarian, Counsellor, Educational Technology Coordinator, Athletics, Recreation and Student Life Coordinator, Distance Education Tutor, Research Associate or any other person who holds a position for which the Association is certified to bargain.

3. The Board shall notify the Association of all new education positions offered in the District and submit to the local Association offices a written job description of the new position(s). Definition of an Employee. The term "employee", when hereinafter used shall refer to those individuals for whom the Association has the exclusive right to negotiate as defined in A. 1) and 2) above.
Definition of an Employee. 4.01 An employee engaged to fill a position in a classification within the bargaining unit shall become a "Regular Employee" four hundred and fifty hours worked after the last date they were hired by the Employer. During the said four hundred and fifty hours (450) hours worked such employees shall be on probation.
Definition of an Employee. 1.01 The term employee(s) as used in this Agreement shall mean all employees covered by the B.C. Labour Relations Board certification or the employees generally referred to as Public Works employees; except those excluded by the B.C. Labour Relations Act and supervisory personnel.
(a) For the purposes of this Agreement, other than regular employees, the following will apply: A regular employee shall be one who has satisfactorily served his probationary period with the employer and has been so advised in writing.
i) part-time employee - an employee who is required to work on a regular basis, for less than hours worked by a regular employee per week.
ii) Seasonal employee - a full time or part-time employee who occupies a position which is required on a regular basis for a period of not more than a hundred and thirty (130) day period of one year or less. The one hundred and thirty (130) day period shall mean "working days" and seniority will accumulate for recall within this classification after eighty (80) working days.
iii) Summer students - students may be hired for "Town Beautification Purposes". Students will cut grass, weed, pick up litter and do minor maintenance work in the park areas and under the parks maintenance person's supervision. Duties like picking up litter on the street, emptying the public garbage cans, cleaning the temporary washroom facilities will continue to be performed by the present work force or with the assistance of summer students.
iv) part-time and/or seasonal employees are entitled to all the provisions of this agreement except in regards to seniority and Article 18 Heath and Welfare and Article 20.03.
(b) Part-time and/or seasonal employees will not be required to pay the union initiation fee for this period of their employment. However, regular monthly dues shall be remitted to the union in accordance with Article 5:02 B or its equivalent.
(c) Any seasonal or part-time employee who wishes to become a regular employee after his specific employment date, must re-apply for employment. In the event the employee is hired as a regular employee, his seniority shall begin at the time of his rehire.
(d) both parties recognize that government projects may establish make work or projects by specific terms under definition as government make work employees or summer students. Appendix "A" defines the wage level.

SECTION 1.01 The term employee/s as used in and for the purpose of this Agreement shall include all employees of the Village of Cache Creek, except those excluded by the Labour Relations Board of B. C. For the purpose of this Agreement, definitions of employees are as follows:

1. It shall include any person employed in any job or classification created in the future which the parties by mutual consent decide to include within the bargaining unit. Provided that where mutual consent is not reached, such failure shall not become a subject for grievance under this Agreement, but may be referred by either party to the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
Definition of an Employee. 2.01 An "employee" within the terms of this Agreement shall only mean a person employed by the Employer, at 0000 Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx in one of the job classifications listed in Appendix "A", and who has completed to the satisfaction of the Employer the probationary period of service defined in Article 2 sub-section 2.02 of this Agreement.
2.02 A person will be regarded as an employee for the purpose of this Agreement only after completion of a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days in the job classification to which he/she is assigned. If an employee is retained in the employment of the Employer after completion of the probationary period, a person will then be an employee of the Employer with full rights and privileges of this Agreement.
2.03 Probationary employees shall be considered as employed on a trial basis and have no recourse through the grievance procedure and may be discharged at the discretion of the Employer but will obtain full rights and privileges of this Agreement once they have served the probationary period, pursuant to Article 2.02.
