Public Works Employees. Employees who work in road maintenance, bridge maintenance, special crews, construction, inspection, materials laboratory, and survey crews: ten (10) shirts (in any combination of short and long sleeve), gloves, and, one (1) set of rain gear to be laundered by the employee. Employees performing equipment maintenance duties shall receive one (1) laundered uniform per working day. In the alternative, County may provide uniform shirts to any or all of the above through a commercial service that would include laundering.
Public Works Employees. Public Works employees assigned to conduct City related work in the field or custodial work in City facilities shall receive five (5) changes of shirts and pants/shorts per week.
Public Works Employees. Vacation leave must be requested and scheduled through the chain of command from December 1st – 15th of the current calendar year for the following calendar year based on department seniority. Any open, unscheduled work day eligible for vacation leave throughout the calendar year (even after Dec 1-15), shall be requested with preferably a minimum of (2) weeks' notice on a first come first serve basis and will be granted if manpower permits. Seniority will only be considered for these "unscheduled days" if there are two (2) requests with the same submittal date and the time that the request was submitted cannot be determined. If the request was date/time stamped then seniority will not apply and the request with the earliest date/time stamp will be chosen for approval. If there is no date/time stamp on request then seniority shall be determined by date and time of the submittal of the employment application; with the earliest date and time for the application having the most seniority or in the alternative if seniority cannot be determined through the employment application then seniority will be determined by the employee's day (l-31) of birth, with the employee with the lowest numeric day of birth having the most seniority
Public Works Employees. The normal work week shall be forty (40) hours worked from Monday to Friday inclusively. The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours with one (1) unpaid hour off for lunch, scheduled as follows:
Public Works Employees. Public Works Employees includes Agricultural Field Employees and Utilities/Water Treatment Employees. The regular hours of work for Public Works Employees shall be forty (40) hours per week comprised of eight (8) hours per day on five (5) consecutive days per week. When operational requirements such as weather or project scheduling requirements disrupt an Employee’s regular work schedule, the following conditions shall apply: (i) Public Works Employees may not be required to report for work on a regularly scheduled work day and this time shall be considered a day off. The Employee may then be required to report for work on a day previously scheduled as a day off which becomes a regular work day. (ii) A Public Works Employee shall normally receive two (2) consecutive days of rest every seven (7) calendar day period. However, where such days are split due to operational requirements, they shall not be split more than once in a three (3) consecutive calendar weeks, except by mutual agreement. (iii) Permanent Public Works Employees will be paid their regular monthly salaries if these operational needs result in working less than their regular monthly hours of work.
Public Works Employees. The annual time of all public works employees actually working to operate, maintain and repair the Pressurized Irrigation System. Time worked in the operation, maintenance and repair of the Pressurized Irrigation System must be documented on employee time cards with sufficient specificity to determine the date, hours and type of work performed.
Public Works Employees. 1. If assistance is needed from Red Bank Public Works Department, $20 per hour, per employee will be charged.
Public Works Employees. The Employer shall provide fourteen (14) calendar days notice of shift changes to Public Works employees; provided, however, the Employer may change the shifts of the water main flushing crew with seven (7) calendar days notice. Except that shorter notice may be provided when changes are required due to an emergency, the disability of an employee or the scheduling of overtime, vacation, sick leave, compensatory time, or some other form of leave.
Public Works Employees. To be eligible for any non-emergency overtime call-outs, an employee must work the first half of their regularly scheduled shift. If an employee takes more than one-half of their regularly scheduled shift for the purpose of vacation, compensatory time off, or personal leave, they shall be considered unavailable for any and all overtime call-outs until the start of their next regularly scheduled shift.
