Definition of Employment Status. Full-time: Refers to an Employee who is regularly scheduled to work more than twenty-four hours per week. Regular Part-time: Refers to any Employee who is regularly scheduled to work twenty- four (24) hours per week, or less, on a pre-determined basis, and who offers to make a commitment to be available for work on a regular basis. When a regular part-time works a combination of asleep overnight shifts and other hours, the asleep overnight shifts shall not be considered for the purpose of this provision, nor shall any casual or relief hours which a regular part-time may work. Call-in: Refers to an Employee who is assigned only relief work to replace a part-time or full-time Employee who is absent. A call-in Employee may accept or decline such assignment of hours. However a call-in Employee is required to declare her availability in advance on a monthly basis.

A public employer, contractor, or subcontractor who has a good faith belief that a person or entity with which it is contracting has knowingly violated Section 448.09(1), Florida Statutes is obligated to terminate the contract with the person or entity pursuant to Section 448.095(2)(c)1, Florida Statutes. If Orange County terminates the contract for the foregoing reason, the contractor may not be awarded a public contract for at least one (1) year after the date on which the contract was terminated, and the contractor will be liable for any additional costs incurred by Orange County as a result of the termination of the contract.
