Deputy Fire ChiefThe Deputy Fire Chief may use Frozen Sick Leave for a verified “on-the-job” injury, without restriction and irrespective of the number of hours remaining in the employee’s Annual Leave account. In the case of any other illness or injury, the Deputy Fire Chief may use their Frozen Sick Leave under any of the following conditions: • The Deputy Fire Chief’s Annual Leave balance is reduced to 80 hours; or • The Deputy Fire Chief has written confirmation from a physician and has been off “sick” for at least four (4) consecutive workdays or forty (40) hours, in which event the Deputy Fire Chief may use Frozen Sick Leave for those days beyond the 4th consecutive workday or the 40th hour that the Deputy Fire Chief misses work irrespective of the number of hours remaining in the Deputy Fire Chief’s Annual Leave account; or • The Deputy Fire Chief has used at least 75 hours of Annual Leave within the preceding 12-month period and has obtained written confirmation from a physician of an illness, in which event Frozen Sick Leave may be used for the entire time that the Deputy Fire Chief is off “sick”.
Deputy Fire ChiefWithin thirty (30) calendar days of the event giving rise to a grievance, the grievant shall present the grievance to the Deputy Fire Chief for disposition.
Deputy Fire ChiefThe deputy Chief shall be next in rank to the Fire Chief and shall command and direct the overall activities of the Fire Department. The Deputy Chief shall relieve the Fire Chief of much of the day to day administrative, technical, and supervisory detail work of the department by assisting and directing fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention, training and maintenance. The Deputy Chief shall follow the directions from the Fire Chief. In the absence of the Fire Chief, the Deputy Chief may take over all the authority of the Fire Chief. The Deputy Chief shall have direct supervision over all staff members. The Deputy Chief shall set directives, goals and objectives for staff to follow through on. The Deputy Chief shall administer policies and procedures for all functions of the department, personnel, employee relations, staffing, recordkeeping, fiscal control, research and development, and training. The Deputy Chief shall, when requested, respond expeditiously to emergency scenes.
Deputy Fire Chief. “There is xxxxxx created the office of Deputy Fire Chief. In case of the temporary absence or disability of the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief being present, having the most seniority, in terms of service with the Fire Department, shall possess the powers and exercise the duties of the Fire Chief. The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, shall appoint Deputy Fire Chiefs in the number deemed necessary from time to time in the best interest of the department. In the event of the discharge of an Deputy Fire Chief from the office of Deputy Fire Chief, the officer so discharged from such office shall revert in seniority and position to his last permanent rank, as established under the rules and regulations of the Police and Fire Commission. Deputy Fire Chief. Promotion to the rank of Fire Deputy Chief shall be open to all members of the Department at the rank of Fire Battalion Chief who have continuously held, for at least two years, a position at the next lower classification; completed all the requirements for the rank of Fire Battalion Chief; completed the Deputy Fire Chief Task Book (task book requirement effective October 1, 2026).
Deputy Fire Chief s appointed to the department after September 12, 1999 shall not receive the per credit payments set forth in Section 23.01. Said employees shall be paid an Educational Benefit upon obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science or Emergency Medical Services as set forth in Section 23.01/23.01 (a). Paragraph 23.03. Effective July 1, 2015, the benefit contained in this Article (both sections) will be rolled into base pay and included in the salary schedule.
Deputy Fire ChiefThe City shall establish a longevity pay program for the Deputy Fire Chief, with an annual payment based upon years of service as of the 1st day of September as follows: Five (5) but fewer than ten (10): $1,400.00 Ten (10) but fewer than fifteen (15): $1,600.00 Fifteen (15) but fewer than twenty (20): $1,800.00 Twenty (20) or more: $2,000.00 Longevity Pay shall be included with the formula utilized for the purposes of calculating total compensation under PERS. Payment shall be made on a non-regular payroll day, when feasible, during the first half of the month of September and in all cases prior to the end of September.
Deputy Fire Chief. The City will provide an annual allowance in the amount of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) to active Tier 1 Battalion Chiefs and active Tier 1 Deputy Fire Chief. This allowance is to be used for the purchase of nontaxable benefits and/or taxable benefits offered under the City of Corona Section 125 Cafeteria Plan (“Cafeteria Plan”). The employee shall have the opportunity to make an election as to the allocation of the allowance during open enrollment for the upcoming plan year. Benefits available under the Cafeteria Plan are as follows: Upon the conclusion of the open enrollment period, the employee’s election shall not be subject to change during the plan year. Any amounts remaining in the reimbursement accounts after the expiration of the reimbursement periods shall be forfeited. Please see the Cafeteria Plan for further details. If an employee fails to make an election during open enrollment, the allowance shall automatically be allocated to the employee’s health care spending account. This default allocation shall not be subject to change. Tier 1 Battalion Chiefs and Tier 1 Deputy Fire Chief hired by the City prior to January 1, 1999 shall continue to receive this allowance if they retire from the City. Tier 1 Battalion Chiefs and Tier 1 Deputy Fire Chief hired by the City after January 1, 1999 will not receive this benefit if they retire from the City.”

  • CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION The undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project. The undersigned further certify that:

  • President and Chief Executive Officer The president shall be the chief executive officer of the Trust, unless the Board of Trustees designates the chairman as chief executive officer. The chief executive officer shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Trustees are carried into effect. The chief executive officer shall also be the chief administrative officer of the Trust and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Trustees may from time to time prescribe.

  • OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION Pursuant to Section 6(b) and 6(c) of the Agreement, the undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project, or, in the case of a final disbursement request, the amount entered at Line V of this Appendix E. The undersigned further certify that:

  • Chief Operating Officer The Chief Operating Officer shall be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Company and shall see to it that all orders of the Chief Executive Officer are carried into effect.

  • Vice Chairman In the absence of the Chairman of the Board, the Vice Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the unitholders of the MLP; and he shall have such other powers and duties as from time to time may be assigned to him by the Board of Directors.

  • General Counsel The General Counsel subject to the discretion of the Board of Directors, shall be responsible for the management and direction of the day-to-day legal affairs of the Company. The General Counsel shall perform such other duties and may exercise such other powers as may from time to time be assigned to him by the Board of Directors or the President.

  • Chief Executive Officer The Chief Executive Officer shall, under the direction of the Member and Board of Managers, perform all duties incident to the office of Chief Executive Officer, have general charge of the business, affairs and property of the LLC and general supervision over the other Officers and any of the LLC's employees and agents and see that all orders and resolutions of the LLC are carried into effect.
