Duty Officer. After hours worked as assigned duty officer per Article 4, Section 4, will be paid at time and one half (1 ½). Both parties also agree that planned vacations during the scheduled duty officer work week will not be approved. The county understands that incidental vacation time-off requests (i.e. unexpected events) may occur during the duty officer’s work week, and these requests will be considered for approval.

B. The weekly rotation of employees performing the function of Duty Officer shall be established by a random drawing of eligible names covering a fifty-two (52) week period of time.
C. The drawing shall be conducted by two (2) Association officers or designees. The established list may only be changed in case of emergency. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to arrange for a substitute and to notify the appropriate Township personnel of the change. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
D. Eligible "Duty Officer" employees shall receive a $1,600 stipend each year that they remain on the list. Only those employees delineated on SCHEDULE D of the Duty Officer List shall receive this stipend. (Schedule D attached)
A. Eligible “Operations Call” employees shall receive a $1,000.00 stipend each year that they remain on the list. See Schedule E, Section A.
B. Eligible “Maintenance Call” employees shall receive a $1,600.00 stipend each year that they remain on the list: (See Schedule E, Section B.)
C. In the event an “Operations or maintenance call” employee is added or removed from the list, the stipend shall be prorated for the portion served.
Duty Officer. Where an Employee is a designated Duty Officer on stand‑by and is required to be the primary contact for initiating the response to an incident and manage the preparedness in relation to potential emergency incidents, or is a designated Agency Commander, Regional Controller or other role as determined by the Employer (as defined in clause 22.4 and is required to be available for contact for work relating to those roles, that Employee while performing this function will be paid the relevant rate as follows: The day rate (weekend/public holiday) of Duty Officer stand‑by covers the period 10.00am to 6.00pm and will be as follows: Table 110: Duty Officer – Stand-by – Day rate (DELWP) If the Duty Officer is recalled to perform work during the hours 10.00am to 6.00pm in accordance with clause 13, the Duty Officer will be paid overtime at appropriate penalty rates instead of the above hourly day rate. The night rate on normal weekdays of Duty Officer stand‑by covers the period from end of normal duty to the commencement of normal duty on the following normal day or 10.00am of the following Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday. The night rate on weekend days or Public Holidays covers the period from 6.00pm to 10.00am on weekend days or Public Holidays or commencement of normal duty and will be as follows:: Table 111: Duty Officer – Stand-by – Night Rate (DELWP) If the Duty Officer is recalled to perform work during the hours 6.00pm to 10.00am in accordance with clause 13, the Duty Officer will be paid overtime at appropriate penalty rates in addition to the night rate of Duty Officer stand‑by. The above allowances are paid for being available to perform duty and will include initial limited response to any form of communication (example, text message, email, phone call, pager, radio call), as long as the subject of the communication does not require time worked beyond 15 minutes in any continuous period. Work after the initial limited 15-minute response will be remunerated as overtime and may include but is not limited to arranging staff in relation to extension of stand-by, for readiness, or deployment away from their normal location. The minimum overtime payment in clause 13 does not apply. Overtime payments will be paid as worked. An employee who is required to undertake work to manage response to an Emergency in their area of responsibility is entitled to the minimum overtime payment in clause 13. Duty Officer. Duty Officer refers to the rotational position within the SDOEM designed to serve as a single point of contact to government entities when state-level assistance is needed.
Duty Officer. The primary contact for after hour calls will be restricted to suitably skilled employees (Grade 3 and above) with the exception of out-posted based staff.
Duty Officer. The Duty Officer shall be responsible for attendance to after hours calls, either in person or delegated to the rostered Support Officer.
Duty Officer. (a) Effective and retroactive to January 1, 1999, Duty Officer pay shall be three hundred seventy-five dollars ($375.00) per week, which is for coverage by the assigned employee for a one week period, including nights, weekends and holidays. The duty office assigned week begins on Tuesday morning and continues throughout the ensuing week to the next Tuesday morning for a total of seven (7) consecutive days.
(b) Effective September 1, 2003, Duty Officer pay shall be four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00) per week. Effective January 1, 2004, and for each year of this Agreement, Duty Officer pay shall increase by $25 effective January 1.
(c) Effective upon execution of this Agreement, the Duty Officer for the week shall be designated “on call” during the lunch hour. No other unit member shall be required to wear a pager during the lunch hour. When the Duty Officer is called upon to perform his or her duties during any portion of the lunch hour, the entire hour will be counted toward the forty (40) hour workweek for purposes of calculating overtime. Conversely, when the Duty Officer is not called upon to perform any duties during the lunch hour, the hour will not be counted toward the forty
Duty Officer. An Employee may be required by a Director level officer or above to be the designated Duty Officer for a specified period. During the period of specified Duty Officer work, the Employee is required to be the primary contact for coordinating the initial response for any operational, safety, wellbeing, or emergency incidents. While performing this function, the employee will be paid the rates specified in the following table: Table 132: Duty Officer (GMA) The day rate (weekend/public holiday) of Duty Officer stand-by covers the period 10.00am to 6.00pm. The night rate for Duty Officer stand-by covers the period between 6.00 pm and 10.00 am. Where an Employee is directed to: wear clothing for field work, other than uniforms or other clothing provided by the Authority, and the clothing is damaged or destroyed as a direct consequence of the field work (excluding fair wear and tear), the Authority will reimburse the Employee for reasonable replacement costs of the damaged or destroyed clothing with an equivalent item.
Duty Officer. The Edmonton Police Service and the Association agree that the following terms and conditions of employment shall apply to the Duty Officer. Where a conflict or difference exists between clauses of the collective agreement, the specified provisions contained below shall prevail for employees in the Duty Officer position.
6.03.01 WATCH “Watch” shall mean a scheduled tour of duty not exceeding twelve (12) hours. • “First Watch” shall mean a watch, the major portion of which falls between 24:00 and 08:00 hours. • “Second Watch” shall mean a watch, the major portion of which falls between 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours. • “Third Watch” shall mean a watch, the major portion of which falls between 16:00 hours and 24:00 hours. • Where a watch falls equally within two (2) of the above mentioned time periods, that watch shall be determined by the time period in which it commenced.
