Emergency Leave Day. One (1) day leave per Agreement year without loss of pay may be taken with the approval of the employee's supervisor and/or appointing authority when it is necessary that the employee be off work in the event of a serious illness or accident of a member of the immediate family or when it is necessary that the employee be off work in the event of an unforeseen occurrence with respect to the employee's household (e.g., fire or flood or ongoing loss of power) that necessitates action on the part of the employee. The emergency leave benefit must also be available to the member in the event of inclement weather or natural disaster within the City limits or within the city or county in which the member resides that makes it impossible or unsafe for the member to physically commute to their normal work site at the start of their normal shift.

Emergency Leave Day. (a) All full-time personnel will be entitled to one (1) emergency leave day per year. Each request shall be considered and approved at the discretion of the Administrator. Emergency leave days not used in the current school year will be added to sick day entitlement. (b) The Emergency Day is not to be mistaken for an extra day off from work by all employees but is to be used by the employee only during an emergency and only with the prior approval of the Superintendent or his designee whenever possible. Unused emergency days will be added to the employee’s sick leave entitlement.
Emergency Leave Day. All permanently assigned teachers will be entitled to one (1) emergency leave day per year without loss of pay or deduction from sick leave with the following provisions: 1. Each request shall be considered and approved at the discretion of the unit principal. 2. A letter giving pertinent facts must be submitted to the principal or immediate supervisor. 3. A copy of said letter must be filed in the Office of the Superintendent. 4. Emergency Leave Days not used in the current school year will be added to sick day entitlement.
Emergency Leave Day. One emergency leave day per year, charged to sick leave, will be given to an employee who is faced with a tragedy, sudden accident, etc. that would not normally be a sick leave deduction. This emergency day will be granted at the discretion of the Department Head, subject to approval by the County Board.
Emergency Leave Day. For each subsequent approved Short Term Disability Claim, the Emergency days used will be based on a one (1) day usage or the duration of the waiting period whichever is greater. The parties agree to review this letter at the next round of bargaining.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provisions for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances.

  • Emergency Services Leave (a) An Employee who engages in a voluntary emergency management activity is entitled to be absent without loss of pay from his or her employment for a total of 5 days per annum commencing at the start of each calendar year. For the avoidance of doubt, any days not utilised by the Employee by the end of the calendar year, do not carry over into the subsequent year. (b) Voluntary emergency management activity has the meaning provided by the FWA.

  • Emergency Work Employees who are required to report for emergency work on non- workdays, or outside of their regular hours of work on a scheduled workday or on holidays which they are entitled to have off, shall be paid overtime compensation for the actual work time and for travel time in connection therewith, but such travel time shall not exceed one-half (1/2) hour.

  • Emergency/Declared Disaster Requirements In the event of an emergency or if Orange County is declared a disaster area by the County, state or federal government, this Contract may be subjected to unusual usage. The Contractor shall service the County during such an emergency or declared disaster under the same terms and conditions that apply during non-emergency/disaster conditions. The pricing quoted by the Contractor shall apply to serving the County’s needs regardless of the circumstances. If the Contractor is unable to supply the goods/services under the terms of the Contract, then the Contractor shall provide proof of such disruption and a copy of the invoice for the goods/services from the Contractor’s supplier(s). Additional profit margin as a result of supplying goods/services during an emergency or a declared disaster shall not be permitted. In the event of an emergency or declared disaster, emergency purchase order numbers will be assigned. All applicable invoices from the Contractor shall show both the emergency purchase order number and the Contract number.

  • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls. In accordance with paragraph 13.2, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (financial or otherwise) where you fail to do so.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.
