Extended Sick Leave Benefits. A. After Employees have exhausted their regular sick leave reserves, they may apply for disability benefits provided by the BOARD through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund and receive one-half (1/2) of their regular rate of pay which they are receiving at the date of disability, subject to the regulations governing IMRF. B. If disability occurs during the first year of employment and after regular sick leave benefits are exhausted, Employees may receive one-half (1/2) pay until they become eligible for disability benefits through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, provided that in no case will the extended benefits be for more than forty- five (45) days.

Extended Sick Leave Benefits. After employees have exhausted their regular sick leave reserves, they may apply for disability benefits provided by the District through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
Extended Sick Leave Benefits. ‌ The Board shall continue to provide full insurance benefits as provided herein to a teacher who has exhausted all accumulated sick leave and who continues to be sick or disabled provided that such continuation of benefits shall be limited to the sixty (60) calendar days immediately following the depletion of his/her accumulated sick leave balance. Such teacher shall submit application for such leave as prescribed by the Board. If the affected teacher is a member of the sick leave bank this section shall become effective after the bank benefits are exhausted.
Extended Sick Leave Benefits. Employees who have exhausted all accrued and advanced sick leave shall receive extended sick leave benefits subject to the following conditions: 9.3.12.1 Extended sick leave shall be paid at 50% of the basic salary rate. 9.3.12.2 Extended benefits shall be limited to 100 working days in each fiscal year. At the beginning of a fiscal year, 100 workdays shall be credited to the employee's account, whether or not the employee is currently drawing benefits subject to this rule. 9.3.12.3 Sick leave days at full pay in the excess of the amount earned in the current year shall be included in the 100 working days. 9.3.12.4 Other compensable leave, such as vacation, industrial illness leave, holidays, etc., shall not be counted toward the 100 workdays.
Extended Sick Leave Benefits. It is recognized that a member covered by this agreement may suffer an off the job illness or injury that causes a member to exhaust all accumulated sick and vacation leave. In order to assist such member in a time of need, the Town agrees to allow the donation of sick leave from any other member of the bargaining unit. On September 1st of each year, the Town will provide the necessary forms to be executed by the members of the bargaining unit allowing such members to donate a maximum of five (5) accumulated sick leave days per member into a central sick leave depository. Only after all of a member's sick leave and those accumulated vacation leave days in excess of thirty days have been utilized, may a member request to be granted sick leave days from the depository. Such request will be made on a form provided by the Town and be submitted to the Town Manager. Requests for sick leave must be accompanied by a physician certificate indicating the nature of the illness or injury and the estimated date the member will return to active duty. The maximum number of days that any member may use from the depository in any contract year is sixty (60) days.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Sick Leave Benefits Sick leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits.

  • Leave Benefits Paid leave is available to the Superintendent when the following specific conditions are met: (1) the Superintendent is currently employed by the District and (2) the paid leave day is taken on a day Superintendent would otherwise be expected to be at work.

  • Extended Benefits If you are disabled on the date your healthcare coverage ends, your benefits will be temporarily extended for any continuous loss, which commenced while your coverage was in force. The services provided under this benefit are subject to all terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions listed in this agreement, and the care you receive must relate to or arise out of the disability you had on the day your healthcare coverage ended. Extended benefits apply only to the subscriber who is disabled. If you want to receive coverage for continued care when your coverage ends, you must provide us with proof that you are disabled. We will make a determination whether your condition constitutes a disability and you will have the right to appeal our determination or to take legal action. The extension of benefits will end upon the earliest of the following events: • the continuous disability ends; or • twelve (12) months from the termination date; or • payment of the benefit limits under this plan.

  • Sick Leave Allowance Faculty with a full-time assignment shall accrue sick leave at the rate of eight

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Sick Leave Benefit Plan The Sick Leave Benefit Plan will provide sick leave days and short term disability days for reasons of personal illness, personal injury, including personal medical appointments and personal dental appointments.

  • Sick Leave Reimbursement An employee who has received sick leave benefits for injuries caused by a third party shall be obliged, in the event such employee undertakes an action for recovery of damages against the third party, to seek recovery of the total cost of wages and benefits paid to the employee while on sick leave. The employee shall be obliged to reimburse the Employer to the extent the employee succeeded in recovering such wages and benefits. This provision includes claims made to ICBC.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY Sick leave with pay for employees shall be determined in the following manner:
