Flex Schedule. As an alternative to the normal schedule described in the above section, employees may be granted the option to participate in a Flex Schedule under the following terms and conditions: The Department Director, with the approval of the Town Manager, has the exclusive authority to approve an employee’s request for a flex schedule. The decision to implement or terminate a flex schedule is final and is not subject to meet and confer or any grievance procedure. Participating employees will be provided notification at least one (1) full pay period prior to termination of a flex schedule. Employees on a flex schedule will receive no more than eight (8) hours on a paid holiday and will be required to use other accrued leaves or to re-arrange their schedule to maintain an 80-hour pay period.

Flex Schedule. Subject to advance mutual agreement between an employee and the City, employees may adjust their work schedules to something other than the normal work schedule stated in Article 6.1.
Flex Schedule. Unit members that on a volunteer basis shift their work week upon request by their supervisor to include a weekend shall be compensated at a rate of $75 per weekend day worked in addition to their hourly rate. For example: A unit member that works a Tuesday-Saturday work week, would be compensated $75 for their Saturday shift. The flex schedule shall state the unit member and/or supervisor may revoke the agreement at any time. This revocation shall be in writing.

Flex Schedule. Employees may apply for a schedule that deviates from a worksite's normally scheduled work hours and workdays [hereinafter referred to as "flex" or "compressed work schedule (CWS)"]. The Employer shall not unreasonably deny or rescind an employee's requested flex or CWS schedule. In the event an employee is denied a flex or CWS schedule, or that schedule is rescinded, the Employer shall provide the employee in writing the reasons for the denial or rescission of the schedule. If an employee's application cannot be approved because another employee is also requesting or is on the same or similar schedule, then Agency seniority shall be the determining factor as to which employee shall be granted or maintained on their requested flex or CWS schedule.
Flex Schedule. The District may offer and determine the summer flex schedules, with flexible lunches, for bargaining unit members based on site/department needs, with scheduling subject to administrative approval. Vacation and sick leave will accrue and be used on an hourly basis to avoid any changes in vacation earned or taken under the normal five-day, forty-hour week.
Flex Schedule. The Communications Specialist may use approved flextime each work day as long as the employee works his/her regularly established work hours.
