Flex Schedules. With mutual agreement between management and the employee, employees of MSP may flex their work schedules. Twenty-four hour security staff are exempt from flexible schedules.
Flex Schedules. With mutual agreement between management and the employee, employees at the Riverside Special Needs Unit, including security staff, may flex their work schedules.
Flex Schedules. Employees whose overtime is compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the employee’s regular rate of pay for all hours worked beyond forty (40) in a workweek may work a flexible schedule by prior mutual written agreement with their supervisor. Flexible schedules include variable daily starting and ending times based on operational need or by agreement between the employee and his or her supervisor. In addition, the University may assign a flexible schedule to the following employees:
Flex Schedules. 15 A flex schedule may be requested and approved by the County when a 16 special requirement is identified that requires a flexible schedule. Examples 17 might include evening planning commission meetings or immunizations 18 clinics, but schedule changes are not limited to these examples. When a flex 19 schedule is required by the County, the nurse will be provided ten (10) 20 working days’ notice unless an emergency situation exists, in which case the 21 schedule change may be immediate. The County shall declare all 22 emergencies in writing, noting the beginning and the end of the emergency. If 23 mutually agreed between the nurse and the Supervisor, the ten (10) working 24 day notice period may be waived in non-emergency situations. A flex 25 schedule is intended to accommodate the operational needs of a 26 department. 28 A flex schedule for part-time nurses may be approved by the County so long 29 as hours worked do not exceed forty (40) hours per week or exceed the 30 nurse’s established FTE. The flex time will be taken within thirty (30) days 31 from the time of the schedule adjustment.
Flex Schedules. A flex schedule may be initiated by the County when a special requirement is identified that requires a change in shift. Examples might include evening planning commission meetings or immunization clinics, but are not limited to these examples. When a flex schedule is approved by the County Board of Commissioners, the employee will be provided ten (10) days prior notice unless an emergency situation exists. This ten (10) day notice period may be waived, if mutually agreed between the employee and the department head. A flex schedule is intended to accommodate the special needs of a department. Employees working a flexible work schedule shall waive the overtime over eight (8) hours in a work day provision in this agreement, but shall be subject to the overtime after working over 10 hours in a regularly scheduled work day or over forty (40) hours in a work week. Public Works Special Flex Schedule At no time shall a Public Works Road Crew employee be asked, required or allowed to work more than 16 consecutive hours in a rolling 24 hour period. If an employee at Public Works has worked 16 consecutive hours they will not return to work for a minimum of 8 hours after their shift ends. Employees will notify the supervisor if they become fatigued and feel unable to work a full 16 hour shift which would create a safety risk. Supervisors will relieve fatigued employees as soon as staffing and circumstances allow, without negative repercussions to the employee. During the months of December, January and February each designated employee will receive Inclement Weather Pay in the amount of $300 per month (prorated for part-time employees). The Inclement Weather Pay will be based solely on these 3 months, and is not dependent upon actual inclement weather. Such flexing of employees schedules will be based on inclement weather and related emergencies only. Each designated employee will also be placed on a flex schedule. An employee compensation time/overtime pay based on a 10 hour work day or 40 hour work week. Meaning an employee will receive overtime for all hours worked in excess of 10 hours in a 24 hour work period from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. An employee will also receive overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 hours during work week, even if the employee did not work more than 10 hours in any given day.

Flex Schedules. An Employee may request a modification of their regular work schedule to another schedule. The Appointing Authority may approve or deny flex work schedules and retains the responsibility for determining exemptions from, or terminations of, flex schedules which adversely affect the operations of the courts or the level of service to the public.
Flex Schedules. For flexibility purposes and only when the arrangement is agreed upon by the Employee and Supervisor, a flexible work schedule is allowable during a workweek, provided that any hours over 10 in a workday or 40 in a workweek is paid at the overtime rate of pay. Once a flex arrangement is approved, it remains in effect for the entire workweek. This change will allow an Employee to work 7 hours one day and 9 in the next, without requiring the use of accrued leave or payment of overtime. The Employee and supervisor’s signature on the official timesheet constitutes approval of a flex-time Agreement.

When a flex schedule is required, the Parties must mutually agree to the schedule change. If mutually agreed between the deputy and management, the normal fourteen (14) day notice period may be waived. A flex schedule is intended to accommodate the special needs of the Parties and shall not be used to increase overtime payments.
Flex Schedules. The use of flex schedules shall be limited to the following Job Classifications: Investigations, Tech Support, employees assigned to special assignments and Mat-Su Youth Court. The flex schedule must show a benefit to the employee, the Police Department, MATCOM Dispatch, and/or the City. The specifics of a flex schedule shall be coordinated between the effected employee and the Chief of Police or MATCOM Manager with final approval from the Mayor. The City shall provide written notice to the Association regarding the specifics of said Flex Schedule.
