GRIEVANCE RELEASE TIME. Any employee required by either party to participate as a witness, grievant, or a grievant representative in the handling and processing of a grievance shall be released from regular duties without loss of pay for up to two (2) hours per case, in addition to time requested at the hearing or meetings with District representatives.

GRIEVANCE RELEASE TIME. Prior to any proposed investigation of a grievance (on-site or on-duty), Association representatives shall obtain permission from their and the grievant’s supervisor, which will be granted unless the Association Representative or the grievant is working on something that requires immediate attention. If permission cannot be immediately granted, the Employer will arrange to allow investigation of the grievance at the earliest possible time. When it is necessary for Association Representatives to conduct Association business authorized by this Agreement in an area or on a shift other than their own, they shall notify the supervisor of that area or shift of their presence and of the nature of their business. No compensation shall be provided by the Employer for such Association activities outside the employee’s work shift.

GRIEVANCE RELEASE TIME. It is recognized that it will at times be necessary for Union activities relating to the investigation and processing of complaints, disputes and grievances to be conducted during working hours. Consistent with Articles 3.8, 3.9 and 19.5, Union representatives shall be allowed reasonable time to investigate and process such disputes and grievances during working hours when permission has been granted by the Court.
